None of those shows looked interesting. There's plenty of missing kids already. How bout you care about a real one instead of a fictional one. I'd rather die than watch anything with Christian in the title. Not to mention the characters just look annoying as in the lady with the shotgun. Pan Am is pretty much the Playboy club. Some show about nothing disguised in a catchy corporation.

Now a father/husband that travels between 2 realities where his son survives in one and his wife in the other. That's a show.

I was big into Family Guy in the early 00's. I totally missed season 2 but I picked up the dvds for $50 a pop a year after it was canned. Apparently I wasn't alone in doing this, As you know, the dvd sales were the only reason Fox brought it back. I suggest you go out and buy dvds because its the only to communicate with networks.
Lets all dash out and buy a shitload of firefly box sets.

I'm pretty gutted at star trek enterprise getting canned to. It really was starting to hit its stride.

Because no one has a clue what goes where. Same reason the new iPad thread is in here. Nothing makes sense, why do actual communities like the film thread stay in the OT? " Because"

I enjoyed Terra Nova, not the best but I liked it enough that I'd have watched it had it continued. There was something about maybe Netflix looking into picking it up to make it their own show but no idea what happened with that.

Tera Nova sucked, there was no proof they went back in time, they WHOLE family seems something need to be there to save the day. how the camp survived without them, we will never know. Also how Jim was able to escape Jail, and catch up to his family as they are about to enter the rift was stupid

Jericho, now there was a good show, dam good show.

Yeah I only watch shows that have a few seasons on them already. It's the easiest and best way. Doesn't mean it isn't disappointing when you're finished, but at least you know how much you're getting out of it.

I remember hearing that it did quite well, but then the writers' strike killed it. I don't really know the details though.

Opened strong thanks to massive hype, ratings died post-writer's strike - whether due to audiences losing interest in the quirk or because of the long hiatus we'll never know.

Personally, I don't think it would have lasted beyond a full first season anyway - and I speak as someone who adored Pushing Daisies. Creatively incredibly strong, but not the kind of thing that mainstream audiences will watch.

Alcatraz should have gotten another season.
Terra Nova was awful.
Missing was good but could only go so far.
Awake bored me the first couple eps.
The Event also should have gotten another season.

This season was especially brutal. Stuff like Susan 313 and Downwardly Mobile seemed like shoe-ins.

I'm already mourning Revolution. That shit looks too good to not be cancelled by the network douchebags. I can't believe Once Upon A Time got a second season. I was enjoying it so much and thought it would be cancelled but they actually came through on that one. Oh and Revenge.

Terra Nova had such great potential.

Then it turned out they wanted to focus on the most irritating moronic teenagers and kids in the existence of history and their family, and turn a great Idea into Land of the Lost 2.

Which would have been fine if the show was a Saturday morning show again for 6 year olds. Not a prime time show intended for a broad demographic.

Quite simply the worst written one dimensional teenagers I've ever seen..the writers should be embarrassed.

Terra Nova is the worst sci-fi show ever. You can't prove that they went back in time.

the family ALWAYS seems to be able to save everything, like how did the camp survive before them?

I just finished watching Titus, what a dam depressing end to a comedy series I wish Fox never cancelled that show.

oh don't get me started on Jericho. That was amazing television but it was too real.

It is amazing that Heroes never got cancelled.

Then predictable stuff like Heroes stayed alive for how long somehow

Add Terriers, Carnivale and Rome and that's my list. Carnivale really gets to me since they had a full arc planned out and the mythology was great.

All the cancellations were justifiable from a commercial standpoint. Unfortunately, from a critical or qualitative standpoint, it becomes a lot less easy to justify, particularly in the case of Awake.
OH MY GOD... I didn't know Awake was cancelled! I'm so heartbroken right now. I loved that show. Had no idea the ratings were poor either. The acting was great (at least the main character's acting), the storyline was interesting and emotional, and I enjoyed the formulaic crime show cases each episode. Boooooo!

Journeyman is a cancellation that really stung. Carnivale cancellation, while painful, but wasn't entirely unexpected as the series had been sold as a 'book' with seasons 1 and 2 as book 1, etc and HBO hadn't caught onto the idea that shows could grow on DVD/home release.

Oh and Fastlane cancellation. Still so very bitter about that cancellation. Came out of absolutely nowhere. Such an amazing show. :(

John Doe getting canceled after one season and ending on a gigantic cliffhanger is pretty much what stopped me from ever watching live (er, current , I guess) television again.

Unless the show lasts three years (or more), I'm not going to get caught up and watch it.
