This is a really broad and inaccurate statement considering that Cajun/creole food is american too.

I've recently been introduced to the splendour that is french toast with banana, bacon, maple syrup and fresh cream.
![]() Though my frequent fond food pleasures are a paired butter chicken and lamb pasanda curry with garlic naan, or a Waygu steak with Hollandaise sauce. |

For me, it's definitely a really good cheeseburger.
I hear that Bodeans (I think it's called?) is pretty good. |

Wahaca did a good job of it, with a Mexican twist (the one in Covent Garden) but it wasn't straight up BBQ. |

I recently went to my friends house to check out his wii. I was generally impressed. It was larger than I expected though.

You know what is sublime on a pulled pork sammich? Cole slaw. Gives it a nice creamy crunch.

Whatever you had in NYC was not the good stuff. That doesn't exist there. So if you liked it, you'd love the real stuff.

What you posted is what someone from up north thinks that BBQ would be like if they'd never actually tried it. I suppose they think the same thing about what the rest of the country does with pizza, though. |

If you ever visit northeast Tennessee make sure you seek out Phil's Dream Pit. It's a locally owned BBQ joint with absolutely legendary pulled pork.

That's true. If they have coleslaw, I'm putting it on there. I'll post a picture in a minute of some I had at Ray Ray's BBQ here in Columbus, OH on Friday. Good stuff. The roll wasn't authentic, but I actually liked having a better tasting roll that was a little tougher than regular white bread. Hard to see the actual meat, but it was fantastic. Those collard greens were really good too.

![]() If I can add it to any dish and make it taste better (up to a reasonable limit obviously), logically it must be the best tasting food. Without salt none of the foods in this thread would be worth eating. (Runner up is definitely the ribeye, though.) |
