I think this year is really going to emphasize on the actual suprises (Read: Games) will come after the big 3 do their conferences. Once the rest of the shows floor is open, websites have done their exclusives, then we'll see all these really cool titles.

Good. More announcements... and bundles are good. Just a shame this wasn't promoted by Sony at their own conference. Would've made it a lot better.

Regardless, hopefully the bundle is safely priced. Might they be holding off the price of these bundles until they announce a price drop. These bundles be priced at the same price the Vita is now, but the standalone hardware is dropped $50. Haha, nah.

It's funny how Vita is getting me into fighting games and now sports games. I wouldn't play them on the ps3 or 360 but for some reason it's appealing to me to play baseball or football on a portable

Props to Sony on this one - Madden isn't even on the 3DS. If Sony can corner the market on the dudebro games again, they can still be succesful this generation. I mean, even though the PSP "lost" last generation, and by a lot, it still moved a lot of product for Sony.

I think it should be legit, I don't remember a Madden 13 screen shot that was similar to this...or this could've been grabbed from Madden 12 screen shots...either way, the fact that they used it for their page should give an indication of what type of graphics it is going to use.

They are going for 30fps....Fifa Vita was 60fps, but that sport has players more spread out...and if you wanted a more consistent frame rate, you were better off playing with the closer camera. Which I think looks better anyway.

Maybe they had inconsistent frame rate during early development and felt locking it at 30fps was for the best. Now the last time Madden was 30fps, or at least in Madden 07, it had HDR Lighting. Madden 13 for consoles is bringing back HDR Lighting. Fifa Vita, I believe, has HDR Lighting.

So Wishful thinking says that even though it uses Madden 12's engine...there is a chance they add HDR lighting for the Vita version, even though it might not have Madden 13's new physics. But, its highly likely that it is a straight port of Madden 12's graphics engine that didn't have HDR...but still looked good.

edit- imo, that *gameplay* pic doesn't show HDR Lighting. But again it could just be a place holder for the time being.

This is one of longest running sport franchises and yet we did not see a single glimpse of it makes me kind of worried of what is going to happen with the Vita version. I am hoping that the game will be good. Here is hoping that the game will look like Madden 12 with this years presentation. That's all I want and if they have that, I will be a happy camper. This year, I am actually thinking about getting the Vita version over the 360/PS3 version, just because I can play it wherever I want.

I think it just might be behind development of the console versions....or at least not as optimized.

And EA most likely just wanted nothing but positive info to come out of E3 regarding their line up later this year. I believe NBA Live wasn't demoed in public either.

I was going to start a thread regarding this actually, and I still might when I have time. But as a company ever released a launch bundle with a horrible game? Knowing EA Tiburon, there is a chance this game might be shit. If it were from EA Canada, I'd say don't worry at all.

But you would think Sony would not let it happen, regarding a bundle they are coming out of pocket to sale. But SCEA also let EA get away with releasing a 30fps Madden 08, where as the 360 version was 60fps. This was after Madden 07 was a better port on the PS3 (two man tackle, better AF).

now this new people in charge at EA Tiburon, were head people at EA Canada. They seem like they are doing a pretty good job executing development of Madden 13 for consoles.

So again, wishful thinking says they had a early plan with Madden Vita...maybe felt they should just lock at 30fps for now, and optimize everything else from there. Make sure all the stuff from Madden 12 got in, and get in important (realistic) stuff from Madden 13...like say presentation. This is their first go at the Vita Platform.

I think I remember MLB The Show's Community Manager say that they just wanted to get everything ported and working first...and will improve the graphics the second year, for their Baseball title. So this might be the same approach............hopefully. >_<

do you have it? Besides the cut scenes and when playing it with further back camera view, when I play it seems like 60fps to me.

I checked gamersyde (they usually have 60fps captures) and they don't think its 60fps, but their video is not direct feed and I think it is from the Demo.

I have the Digital version full version (I don't know if that helps much). And I play in a closer view, which was recommended by others in the community..and it seems like 60fps to me...usually I can tell the difference. If its not then, that is also good news for me because if Madden plays as smooth as Fifa Vita does...Then I'm really relieved.

you don't know how often I've been sitting around lately staring at my Vita wishing I could play some Madden...I have Fifa which I love, and MLB The Show. But I just need my Madden fix. I haven't played my PS3 version in a while. I've actually started playing BackBreaker lately on the PS3...just to switch it up. Don't get me wrong, Madden 12 is the best Madden in a while imo...I really like it. I just want to play it on the go.

I've actually.....*sigh*, I've found myself on the Vita store staring at Madden 12 PSP..ready to hit the purchase button....but I'm still trying to stay strong. And it still being $29.99 helps a bit..lol.
