Thanks! I really didn't notice that. But when I think about it again, sometimes I thought there was something odd about him - that could be the hair. I have to check that out some time.

Which I kinda feel is bullshit, Godric should have been older IMO. Russell just seems like the rest of the vampires (Salome too despite her age, thus far) whereas Godric just exuded the aura of "I'm on some next level shit you have no chance against me". Just as an example (since TB vamps are pretty grounded in their abilities thus far outside of flight) it wouldn't have surprised me in the least if they had revealed that Godric could do some Castlevania level shit like shoot fire from his hands, turn into wolves/mist/bats/etc, teleport and such, whereas it would if Russell did such things. |

man true blood is one of my favourite shows ever. it's like twilight except that it's good. I really don't like the jason and jessica thing, doesn't feel like it's going anywhere. And tara being all emo is getting kinda boring too. But still, true blood is still as awesome as always, especially when pam is around.
also, christopher meloni being in the show i instantly thought : but the last episode killed my hopes for a gay chris meloni vampire lord :/ |

So the thing I'm confused about is the whole vampire religion in relation to the authority. They seemed pretty religious with the ritual and praying but I guess don't believe the vampire bible is literal? Like the difference between evangelicals and Protestants? It's just kinda confusing since I believe this is the first time they've mentioned a vampire religion

That would basically mean that that whole werepanther plot's only purpose was for Jason to drink Jessica's blood (and Hoyt to become a jerkass). Not that I'm really itching for Crystal to show up again, but that would be very unsatisfying if that's the case.

They're not going back to Hotshot. I'm almost willing to put money down. And if anyone is a jerkass it is Jason and Jessica.

Marnie spells Eric under her control plus some other vamps to attack a co-existence rally with Bill and Nan. Sookie uses her fairy powers to stop an attack and Eric remembers everything now. Tommy as Sam has sex with Luna where everybody finds out including Luna's lunatic werewolf boyfriend. Long story short, Tommy as Sam fights for Sam and gets beat to death by the werewolf ex. Sam asks Alcide for help with revenge against the werewolf ex, but not before finding out that the werewolf ex and Debbie had a fling. Alcide accidentally kills the werewolf ex and banishes Debbie. Arlene, Terry, Jesus, and Lafayette get caught up in the murderous baby subplot where it turns out a slave woman was haunting Arlene's baby because the slave woman and her baby were murdered and she just wanted the baby. Jesus saves the day. Next season's subplot for Arlene/Terry is set up when Terry's ex-army buddy shows up the same time the ghost of Rene warns Arlene that this visit means trouble. Jason and Jessica have sex a lot but even though Jason wants more, Jessica is still hung up on Hoyt and this is just friends with benefits to her. The end! Also, Fellowship of the Sun head honcho Steve Newlin comes knockin' on Jason's door.......... as a vampire lol. Continued in season 5. Meanwhile at Marnie's witch shop, the spirit of Antonia is furious that blood was shed in the rally but Marnie takes control of her now and goes full Big Bad and traps the unwilling Tara and Holly plus everyone else in the shop. Jesus infiltrates and casts a spell that de-traps the shop but before anyone can escape, Lafayette and Sookie get caught up. Bill, Eric, Pam, and Jessica participate in one of the worst ending montages set to rock music I've ever seen on TV to try to kill Marnie, who put up a protection spell. Marnie promises the vamps to let Sookie go if Bill and Eric kill themselves. Pam, not caring about Bill and Eric's insistence to do no harm to Sookie who's inside, launches a rocket launcher doing nothing but make Eric furious. Marnie casts a spell controlling the vamps trying to send them to the protective barrier which is like the sun until Sookie uses her faerie powers undoing all of Marnie's spells. Bill and Marnie get inside and shoot Marnie dead. Also, Pam's face curse is lifted. After, Sookie decides to squash the love triangle and be alone for awhile but hinting at something with Alcide. The next day which is Halloween, Marnie possess Lafayette and sadly kills Jesus to take his loco magic. Marnie as Lafayette captures Bill and Eric and is about to burn them at the stake until Holly, Tara, and Sookie come to the rescue and cast a spell to call out for help from the deceased. One of them, Adele Stackhouse, restores Lafayette back to normal and Adele and Antonia comfort the spirit of Marnie by saying that humans get an afterlife, while vampires rot forever. Bill and Eric get a visit from Nan and some armed dudes. She says "Fuck the vampire authority! I quit! Also, you should work for me because I saw Sookie using her faerie powers and don't know what will happen if that info gets into the wrong hands, you fuckin'--" and then Bill stakes her and kills the guards. Alcide finds out that someone broke Russell Edgington loose. Whoops. Back at Sookie's house, Tara comforts Lafayette after Jesus' death upstairs. Sookie gets home and finds Debbie Pelt holding a rifle in the kitchen. Just as when Debbie is about the shot Sookie, Tara shoves Sookie out of the way and gets a good chunk of her head splattered. Sookie wrestles the gun away from Debbie and gains the upper hand. Sookie thinks about it, and shoots Debbie's face off anyway. Sookie holds a dead Tara in her hands crying for help. Season 5 starts immediately after this event. Also, season 5 is showing more promise than season 3/4 but we'll see. |

They just need to stop with some of these side stories. The vampire thing is by far the most interesting thing happening. All the other stuff is like 20 levels below.
Anyway, 10 more mins in yo facee. |

Really nice episode...
And while they always took liberty with the books; it seems they're mixing things around, from previous books too; like: -The killer of shifters (was the "main bad guy" in book 5). -Claude working on some sort of bar (here is a "fairy bar") |

Really enjoyed this episode. The vampire stuff was interesting, and the whole dynamic between Eric and Pam tonight was amazing, almost heartbreaking.
I dunno though, the Guardian seems nearly as unstable as Russell when his authority is even remotely tested, so I'm not really sure I'm really rooting for the Authority at this point. Also, it's refreshing not having Sookie completely being the center of everything. I don't know the True Blood production schedule, but could Paquin have requested less intense stuff to do since she's pregnant? |
