£160 at Sainsburys online is a damn good price, considering the 3DS standard is still £130+ in retail stores.

I'll be trading in my old 3DS which cost me £70 preowned anyway for £70 credit at the Blockbuster store I used to manage, and I'll use that to get Mario Kart, Revelaitons and Kid Icarus (girlfriend works there, 20% discount ftw). Oh and if you're the guy I think you are, it sucks that Game/Gamestation have shut down half their stores - Bournemouth is HORRENDOUS for games now that they're both gone. I'm talking £39.99 copies of Pilotwings Resort levels of bad. HMV with their shitty prices (like that pilotwings, jesus fucking christ), or CEX with their crappy, shitty range of shit games.

Yeah, that's me. :) Sadly I am still out of a job and am struggling to pay rent at the moment. The XL looks so much nicer than the standard 3DS, but I find that I never use it all that much. If I still had my job at Gamestation I would trade it in for an XL in a heart beat. I'm thinking of just trading my current 3DS in for cash at the moment and picking an XL up once I get into another job.

That's pretty terrible. My previous town still has a GAME. I've moved away since we shut down and my current town of residence had their Gamestation closed too. It's quite sad. The GAME here has some very friendly staff though. I notice they're still pushing KPI's and killer questions, but they're nice enough.

Include a slip of paper with a URL on it pointing to an online version or make it available on the device itself. There's no need to include that thing unless doing so is a trade law.

Not all people have online though. Making it an optionable buy and then saying that it's similar to the manual of the 3DS is no option either.
Edit: And a download does not appear to be enough in some countries in Europe, but it's not entirely clear.

I wasn't too thrilled about this when it was announced but after watching the video comparison and playing a bit of my launch 3DS it would be great to have larger screens. Also, seeing as it's about the size of the Vita screens this is really great. Guess my son will get a 3DS sooner rather than later.

Probably because that it's in ten languages or something equally as daft. With no charger, there's no need to worry about different SKUs for different countries (e.g. you can't plug in a UK charger into a French electrical socket). As such, there's probably only 1 SKU for the whole of Europe.

Ah, I suck at explaining things sometines, sorry :p I edited the picture to make it more clear.


Look at the 3DS with one eye closed. As you move the 3DS, the picture that you will see will jump from "left image" to "right image" to "left image" etc. If you look at the 3DS normally at the right distance, then the left image will go to your left eye and the right image to your right eye.

However, in between each image, there's a little bit of crosstalk. The crosstalk is greater as you view it at a bigger angle, and there's little crosstalk in the center.

The point of the picture is so that I can explain that the 3D effect on the 3DS XL will probably be enhanced by eliminating some crosstalk. I don't know, I haven't seen the system. However, removing crosstalk is the only way I can think of to really make the 3D effect better.

Vooks said that NZ/Aus get an AC adapter though, so it seems variable in PAL regions.
