Radiohead - Sulk
Overwrought piece of crap, the nadir of their poor U2 imitation. Last chorus is especially annoying. Beach Boys - Wipe Out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-kAn...eature=related Embarrassing for everyone involved Can - Peking O I love Tago Mago, but these tracks make it hard to listen to all the way through, especially if someone else is in ear range. All this Bike hate makes me sad |

The White Album had a lot of terrible songs on it, with Revolution 9 and Honey Pie being the worst offenders. Revolution 9 is the longest, most unlistenable thing that's ever been called a "song." Lennon might have thought it was an interesting pet project, but it wasn't music and it certainly wasn't something that should have been put out by the best band in the world. As for Honey Pie, it was McCartney at his absolute corniest. It's slightly better than Revolution 9 since it's actually a song and has some degree of pop appeal, but it's also something no self-respecting artist would ever release. While McCartney is an excellent songwriter and wrote some of the best music ever in the Beatles' later years, songs like Honey Pie and Maxwell's Silver Hammer are just offensive. It's like taking the Beach Boys' "Kokomo" and making it ten times more corny and ridiculous.
Lennon and McCartney were best when they worked together and balanced out each other's negative traits. When they started to break apart in the later years, it showed. |

Also I love how Good Night is the most fucked up thing that they could follow it up with, it just sounds so deranged coming after Revolution 9. It is great how White Album tracks interact with each other like that. |

I can understand complaints about Revolution 9 for its ability to fit in an album or track listing, but that is not the soul criterion by which it should be judged. Under the right conditions it is one of the most evocative tracks that I know of.

Not a song but all of Animals by Pink Floyd. I want to like it but I can never listen to it. I enjoy the disjointed nature of Meddle much more than Animals.
Don't Stop Believing. The whole entire song is the Pachelbel chord progression with hammed up vocals. Journey ripped off of Boston big time with their music style. Twisting By The Pool by Dire Straits. It's such an uncharacteristic song by the band. I can't get into it because it sounds like a song by another band. Flash by Queen. Ugh, I can't even form words for this song. It's awful. White Limo by Foo Fighters. I think it's just a bunch of noise. Still love the entire album despite this song. Although, the video with Lemmy is sort of entertaining. Let Her Cry by Hootie and The Blowfish. I like a lot of Hootie but this one I can't stand at all. I'm not too sure why, either. It's just one I can't listen to and enjoy it. Mr. Tinkertrain by Ozzy Osbourne. Once you realize what the song is about you can't listen to it anymore. There's nothing redeeming even with the decent guitar work. The Joker by Steve Miller. The song seems to be terribly hammed up. I still like a lot of his other tunes, though. |

Oh my god, this. The song rocks musically, but it's soooo hard to listen to, because the lyrics are so fucked up/wtf.

Yeah, I think the song is okay as well, but I may be biased cause it's my favorite Metallica album. But, yeah, that's why they'd never played it up until recently. Hetfield hates it because it's the only time he's ever tried to write a hit. Probably would have been okay with it if it succeeded. Also, fuck yeah to whoever mentioned Mr. Tinkertrain. Awful song. |

As for the Beatles, I've never liked Honey Pie (I like Paul's "ye old timey songs" except for this one. It's TOO much) or The Word (oh yeah, that one will be controversial). Oh and Mr. Moonlight SUCKS, except for that opening "MISTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRR..." by John. |

À Tout le Monde - Megadeth, especially the even shittier 2007 version with guest vocals by Cristina Scabbia, singer of Lacuna Coil. Way too over dramatic and heart broken for a Megadeth song and the "oh hey, see we're like Evanescence, but harder"-vibe from the 2007 version is a joke.

What the fuck, man? That's a great song about spousal abuse, one of Vedder's finest songwriting moments IMO.

The Offspring - OC Guns
It doesn't even fall into that category of "it's so bad, it's good". It's just a really bad song that doesn't make any sense. |

What a strange song to hate. Yes it is much more poppy then 90% of the Pearl Jam catalog, but it is just a great song. And it is great live as well. Yes every drunk person at the concert is singing at the top of their lungs because it is one of their more popular songs and everyone knows it.

My contribution: John Butler Trio - Seeing Angels from the otherwise excellent "Sunrise over Sea". In fact, I'm not a big fan of the stuff he released after Sunrise over Sea. The Mars Volta - This apperatus must be unearthed. De-loused is a masterpiece, but this song is the one that I really don't like at all. |

Revolution 9 is the worst if you consider it to be an actual song.
I love Honey Pie because it's so corny. She's So Heavy is great too. And like someone else sort of said, many bands would kill to have their best song approach the worst of the Beatles. All these Beatles posts make me want to play Beatles Rock Band when I get home. |

Its' only redeeming quality is that John and Paul recorded their vocals together, like a rare moment of respite and brotherly love as the band was falling apart (or had fallen apart already). |
