Im starting to wonder if they wont switch course and give Aries at least a short term reign. Aries and Roode are the cream of the crop in TNA. James Storm is not bad at all but Roode vs Aries could be a significant fued for TNA. Whether they stick with the original plans or not I think Aries and Roode are the guys they will build the franchise around. With guys like Angle, Storm, Styles, Hardy and Joe as the guys who are on the next tier. Aries and Roode really have the potential to be really, really special.

God I hope not. Hardy needs a break from TV. His current persona is terrible but in a 4 way match he could be a great spot monkey ala Shelton Benjamin, Evan Bourne, ect.

They need to expand on Storm's character a little more. A beer drinking redneck only works if you are a human wrecking machine like Austin was. Storm dosent have that kind of draw though so he needs a little more depth. That being said I like Storm a lot and think he will be an asset for TNA but Aries and Roode are the only guys they have EVER had that can go toe to toe star power wise with guys like Punk, Cena, ect. As crazy as it sounds Joseph Park and Bully Ray are getting pretty close to that level and that is absolutely shocking to me. TNA is doing a good job building their roster across the board. Styles, Hardy, Storm, Roode, Sting, Park, Joe, Ray, Daniels, Aries and even Magnus are all guys that could be champ and it would be believable and not a reach. That is a lot of guys who can have matches without dragging feuds across multiple PPV's if they so desired. If they would get rid of Brooke and Garrett, keep limiting Hogan and keep Sting out of the World Title picture they would be golden.

That is the big question. I think the ratings would be better for this live run if people werent so jaded by the crap they have done over the years. They really need to stay the course and take their lumps and earn peoples trust back. A stupid angle is forgivable but the company as a whole cant jump the shark again like they have in the past. I think Russo being gone will help with that though. The guy has had some great ideas but also the worst ideas in the history of the business. They need consistency and that was never going to happen with Russo.

Uhhh, I hate "rematch clause" as it's such a lazy way to force a rematch. I mean, honestly, what kind of idiot puts it in every contract that you have to have a rematch every time you lose a belt?

It got really bad in 2009 - 2010 when you had 15 title changes with the WWE Championship alone....think about it, that's 15 PPVs headlined by a match dictated by a rematch clause.

It was at that point that I honestly stopped caring about the title. It also doesn't help that it looks like a child's toy, and is treated as such by all.

Thankfully rematch clause booking seems to be out the door as they have found other ways to continue title feuds which has resulted in longer title reigns.
