It is, and I agree. But I still think that there are other things which are more important and we've reached the point where it's 'sometimes lags' rather than 'consistently laggy'.

I don't think it was their main priority. I mean, it's not like Android doesn't have whiplash fast development. One thing Google is not is complacent.
