Piggybacking on this thread rather than creating a new one:
Is the Logitech G400 a good mouse for fingertip grip (I only hold the mouse with my fingers, similar to claw grip but I don't rest the palm of my hand on the mouse)? If not, does anyone have suggestions in a similar price range (~$40) that are? |

I use a Razer Deathadder and would recommend it. Has no hardware level acceleration or prediction or any other sensor malarkey, just good pure tracking.
Logitech has fantastic customer support though, and if you're dead set on one of their mice I would recommend a G400. It's like an updated MX518 but with more DPI options and the recent runs of them have taken out prediction, which have hindered Logitech mice in the past (MX518 included). |

Just bought a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 for like $28 on amazon. It's really good and really accurate. Of course I don't need a specialized gaming mouse with 90 buttons.
That Logitech M305 in the OP is TINY. It's like a laptop mouse. I originally bought that not knowing how small it was, and I"m sending it back. If you want a full sized logitech, get the ones ending in "10" instead of "05", for instance, the M310, or M510. |

The only downside of the G400 is that it's only for right handed folks. |

Do NOT get Razer.
The SteelSeries Sensei, Logitech G9x, and Cooler Master Spawn are great mice. Do you have to send the mouse back? My bro has one and would be out of a mouse until he got a new one if so. |

Mine made a high-pitch noise when plugged in which was really annoying. They'll ask you to take a photo of it and stuff. It's kind of a lot of hassle but it might be worthwhile if you can wait. |

I absolutely love Logitech products. I have had a MX510, MX518, G5(x2) and a G500. But I have now moved to a Steel Series Sensei after my Logitech mice cables constantly wearing to the point of no longer working.

How long have you had yours? After about a year mine started developing this problem where a single left click would register as a double click, this happened on my mx revolution as well, I'm wondering if I'm hard on my mouse or if it's a common failure.

My Razer Starcraft II Spectre is starting to crap out.
Conventional wisdom says I should stay far away from Razer, but dammit, their mice are sexy. Right now it's between the Mamba 2012 and the Naga Epic. I'm apprehensive about the Naga because I've never used anything like it before. I do play a lot of WoW though. i.e. convince me why I need a Naga over a Mamba. |

The Sensei RAW is a good option if you don't want to spend $90. |
