Jesus Christ
Ok Battle Royal is copying/taking inspiration/ripping off/ what ever you want to call it Smash Bros. Done it's true Supperbot and Sony are not fucking throwing away their fucking morals by making such a game and unless Supperbot stole assets from SB Nintendo can not fucking sue. The game has the right to fucking exist and if you don't like that too bad If the game does not appeal to you for what ever reason fine you dont have to fucking buy it. And if the game does appeal to you I suggest just enjoying the game. /thread I swear if this is repeated in the OT of the game when it comes out. I suggest someone make another thread for all this arguing because frankly I really dont what that shit in the OT of the game where we can be actually talking about the game, its mechanics, strengths, weaknesses, ect. |

Inventing a game where you may sing doesn't mean you invented singing, nor does inventing a FPS game mean you invented a view. It's most certainly a genre, and it's even labelled as one.

There's no dignity in Sony Smash Bros. the people making it must wake up, look in the mirror and ask themselves how it came to this. They're on level pegging with Gameloft at this point. It must be eating them alive to know how cancerous this game will be to their reputations. Hell, if I were them I'd leave it off any CV and use a psudanym in the game credits.

People will get over the existence of Playstation All Stars as time goes on. Enjoy the game if you're in beta, and don't worry about what others think. Let's all just hope the online turns out as good as it can be. That's the major important factor here!

People don't seem to get the bigger idea, the bigger picture here don't they ? why would that irritate you if you are a SSB fan from all the people you should be thankful for them to sink to the point of copying level to make you play something similar to your favorite franchise until SSB4 hit the shelves. Does it matter if it was a rip off ? I gave an analogy back in the thread about the "birthday cake" but no matter how you see it the cake will taste good no matter how it was made or who made it if they follow the recipe. SuperBot admitted that they borrowed most of the elements from Smash (not directly) it's proven whenever they were asked about it they bring up the "Super System", Still that doesn't make the game bad. No matter how much you whine and call the game a Ripoff Sony won't stop making the game for the sake of your whines. Live with it the game is coming no matter what you say and I bet it will sell like hot cakes.

I would like Vanquish 2 though. But I guess it is just a gears ripoff by his definition. Wonder what he thinks about Viewtiful Joe: Red Hot Rumble. Would he consider it a smash ripoff or conveniently not comment about it I wonder? |

Kamiya, deliver us from the era of community managers and publisher gag orders, back to the good old days of shit-talking devs. I believe.

Eh. The game is obviously a rip-off, anyone denying it is pretty goddamn delusional. But ripping off is not necessarily a bad thing, sometimes things improve when someone else gives them a shot and mixes things up a bit. But even if Sony doesn't want to mix things up and just play it true to the formula, as long as they can can deliver a good clone, it's fine IMO. Though in that case I can understand dissing them a little, but there's no need to go overboard.
Also, the name of this game is way too fucking long. WTF Sony. EDIT: I love people who say it's "inspired" by SSB. That's some serious downplay when you consider how unique SSB is.
