They are STILL making it sound like an add on? Whoever is in charge of Nintendo's marketing and PR needs to be sacked ASAP, or otherwise this thing is doomed this holiday.

This is a problem in the WiiU Hardware Discussion Thread over in community as well. Same folks, same information and opinions. Lather, Rinse, Repeat. In a way there isn't really much to talk about when it comes to WiiU. They aren't going to give hardware details and they are being very stingy with information and game reveals. We don't even know the other games in Nintendoland yet! If you take a "wait and see" approach then there's not much to really say in these WiiU threads. I mean you can only tell everyone that you are skeptical so many times before they all know it. |

Man, that picture of the system...it's like they're purposely trying to confuse people. I foresee chaos this holiday season with parents thinking it is a Wii add-on.
"Why can't I just buy the screen and use it with the Wii? That's a picture of the Wii, isn't it?" Come on, Nintendo. I refuse to believe you don't see the problem with that marketing. |

Wii U version of CoD BO2 confirmed to be an up-port of Wii version because lol.
EDIT: That CoD image was posted a day or two ago. The guy at Best Buy made it himself, apparently. |

I really hope that the Wii U is successful and Nintendo broadens and improves on all of the features that will be part of the Wii U. I would love nothing more than to enjoy Nintendo IPs again, just not going to jump on the bandwagon so fast. |

The 3DS may have had this problem at first, but it seems to have worn off. I think once people starting seeing the price and boxes they'll realize it's a different system entirely, but they have been really quiet in this period before launch. |

Man, wonder how much Evilore paid Nintendo to put NeoGAF logo on all WiiU marketing materials.

Man, it just really looks like a new handheld. Forget people confusing it with a new controller for the Wii. Nintendo's got a tough row to hoe messaging this one.

Sadly, in the vg store in my town they have the darkness 2 boxes and there's no mention to the wiiU.
I don't trust about the bestbuy/gamestop/etc preorder, anyone who work there could make a shopped image and write false date on it. |

I assume you mean Darsiders, and it's probably because it is launching before the WiiU |

I thought this was already confirmed. The black model is listed as an option on Nintendo's site after all

Not to be Debbie downer here, but what are the legit sales expectations of COD on WiiU?
I can see folks who are already getting a WiiU picking up the game for their new console, but (like COD Vita) I don't see the folks who already have a 360/PS3 shelling out for a new console and COD. Or is COD WiiU just exciting because it's a sign that WiiU is getting some 3rd party support that the Wii didn't get? You trying to say that Last Story might not get released? ;) |

Glad to see that some unannounced games such as Black ops do exist for real and they may be also coming to WiiU in the upcoming months, still it baffles me how ridiculous a leak this is, considering how secretive Nintendo has been so far; a leaked shot of promotional material, they could as well reveal this at E3...
edit; if it's a fake, never mind.

Confirmed to be in development so stockholders don't get upset at how much money was wasted on developing games that won't be released. Also, media confirmed to have played Wii U BLOPS2?

The WiiU relies on USB HDDs for storage. If that isn't a sign that the console is going to get hacked to hell and back, I don't know what is. |

This made me laugh more than it should
The 3DS relies on standard SD cards formatted in FAT32 yet it still has to be remotely near being hacked. When a year and a half after release people from EOL (the biggest homebrew-centric Spanish community) are still absolutely clueless about the machine and just hoping one ot the dozens of "hacking teams" that reap donations are for real and not just a scam, you can safely say they're never going to work it out. Not even the DSi has been completely opened, only in DS mode. It's just a matter of having a tight security and don't leak the private encryption keys like a retard like Sony did with the PS3 and even Nintendo themselves with the Wii having the same one as the Gamecube but just in uppercase.
