One Piece has done everything in it's power to deserve gushing shit. Everything has a huge fanbase that considers that thing to be the best thing ever. For example you see stuff like The Dark Knight in top 10 lists even though clearly if you look at the entire medium of film itself, TDK isn't even close to top 10 worthy let alone isn't even that good compared to a good amount of great films out there.

Really when you produce consistently good content, you deserve the right to have a fanbase. All it has to be is good, and nothing else.

And then you got fucking Bleach. The thought of this even having a fanbase is rage-inducing, I cannot even begin to express how much this manga has straight up proven itself to be one of the worst manga ever written and drawn. It's a mockery of manga that have worked hard to get the big fanbases and sales it has. Kubo didn't have to work for it, he just made drawings that appeals to teenagers who haven't developed their minds and sensibilities to understand what is considered to be a good manga or story. No self-respecting adult is going to legitimately get himself into and enjoy Bleach, and then you got One Piece which has statistically appealed to all ages with it's characters, story, and even it's art.

90% of all movie watchers don't watch all the good movie from decades ago, it's even harder to get one's hand on those when you aren't from the u.s. The majority votes, not the experts. OP is great, the worldbuilding is great, characters are great, not all arcs are great. As if all of Togashi's drawings could beconsidered good. It was a total mess at times.

Arguably, I agree with Big One that One Piece does deserve it's gushing, dickriding fans, because Oda himself does push the boundary and the love of what he does shows in his manga. Not to say OP isn't without it's faults though.

Yeah, it has numerous bad points, but some of the stuff people call it out on is just ridiculous.

- The Art: Haters always pull the "Kubo just reuses the same face" and I always laugh at this. Mostly everyone in Naruto has the same godamn, reptile nosed, generic eyed face, but no one gives Kishi any flack for it. Seriously, just place someone's hairstyle on Sasuke and it's almost the exact same character design. Hell, most manga have this problem (DBZ, JJBA, etc. ), but they never get called out on it.
Let's not forget that Kubo chose to take the more realistic approach, so if your expecting One Piece or Fairy Tail level of creative design, Kubo doesn't have that cartoonish freedom to lay back on. Still, he somehow finds a way to manage. You think any of the Gotei 13 Captains look the same? You think any of the Vizards look the same? You think any of the Espada look the same?
Just because Hisagi sorta resembles Ichigo doesn't make Kubo a bad artist.

As for backgrounds, well, that's Kubo's own "artistic"choice.
What, you don't think a famous mangaka can hire a few assistants with good background skills? What, you actually think Oda himself drew the City of Gold when the actual creators mostly focus on the characters while assistants work on the backgrounds?
Let's face it, Kubo himself has stated he's been inspired by the Anime, and his artwork obviously takes influences from storyboards. It does make the manga seem more "barren", but it's not a case of him being "lazy", it's case of Kubo wanting to portray a scene in a certain way. It's a love it or hate it choice, just like Oda's cartoony artwork.

- "Everything After SS Is Shit": Nope.
Why, because the fights lasted longer because the antagonists were an actual threat and not just a "villain of the week"?
Why, because of Kubo wasting ONE page on "The Heart" when it was obviously an emotional moment and actual development of one of the most popular major villains?
Why, because the enemy were'nt as strong as believed, even though most manga over hype them (Seriously, Akatsuki being taken down by some 15 year old kids?)
Why, because some loose ends weren't wrapped up when we've still got 9 years of Bleach to go?
Admittedly, there were some parts I didn't like about the Arrancar arc, namely the Privaron Espada fights which just felt like filler to give Chad and Ishida something to do, the hogyoku "plot twist" of practically being able to grant wishes, the rushed ending, and Ichigo's convenient Final Getsuga Tenshou power-up.
Still, I feel that last point will be worked upon in future chapters, and maybe most of the captains will gain that same power, or the Royal Guard will already possess it. I also believe Aizen will come into play again and that's why Kubo wrote himself into a corner with the Hyogyoku wish granting shit. I mean, what other possible way was there for Aizen to survive?

Oh, and Fake Karakura Town just being fight after fight after fight? Guess what? Shonen.
I liked seeing characters like Love and Rose show their stuff, I like the Vice-Captains getting development, but then again, the same people who complain about these "filler" fights for "filler" development are the same who say Kubo can't handle his massive character roster...

In the end, there were some good parts AND bad parts.

- The Fullbring Arc Was Terrible: Indeed it was, just like the shitty filler Foxy arc or Fishman Island arc in One Piece, just like the Sai arc in Naruto, just like most of JJBA Part 3. Face it, every manga has bad arcs, but the amount of pure shit Kubo gets for Fullbring is unbelievable. But I guess it's because Kubo's a troll, right?

- The Pacing: Admittedly, sometimes a chapter feels like half a chapter, and I can understand peoples' disappointment in having to wait a whole week for it. But to say Kubo hasn't picked up the pace with the recent arc is a lie, so good luck pulling that card anymore.

Again, there are tons of negatives with Bleach, but there are tons of negatives with other mangas. Kubo himself doesn't deserve the amount of fans Oda has, as it's obvious he doesn't work as nearly as hard, but guess what, I like Bleach more than One Piece.
Why? Because it's my opinion.
To say you don't understand why Bleach even has a single fan is being straight up blinded by the popular census that it's the worst manga to ever exist. Sure, hate all you want, but don't go downgrading the good points for what people love the series for just due to some things you didn't personally approve of, and don't go complaining about shit when almost every other manga suffers from the same faults.
