It's under Edit Options, Subscription preferences. Do not subscribe is one of the options in the dropdown. |

Curriculum vitae question here.
I'm starting university in September (as a mature student) studying Computing with Information Technology. I'm applying for a part time job in a specialists electronics store. I sort of want the fact that I'm going on to study in a field relevant to the job to be in their faces, as they mention having an interest in the products etc as qaulity they're after. Since I haven't started at the university yet, should I list the University in my education section with my start date, or just mention in in the additional information section? |

Okay, so iGoogle used to be my homepage and it's going away. They say there's several potential browser addons that could be used as a replacement but to me that's unacceptable, as I use a variety of different browsers on different PCs and don't want to keep the settings sync'ed between them.
I planned to stick it out until it was officially discontinued but they seem to have removed the link from the Classic Google page so I can no longer get to my dashboard unless I manually type /ig after the URL, which is annoying. What's a good replacement site to use as my homepage with a similar set of features? |

Facial Hair Grooming-GAF; Been using middle of the road bic disposable razors for a while but not getting as close a shave as I'd like. Any reccomendations for particularly good/affordable brands of razors (disposable or otherwise)?
Was also contemplating switching to electric, but not really sure where to begin in terms of research. |

I actually think this this a great question that does warrant a thread, but I can't make those so.
How would one go about keeping the novelty in the things they love? Like for example a song. First time you hear it you're amazed if you're really into it. But a lot of the time even if you really like it, only occasionally can you feel the magic, lol. |

There are too many insects around to write a book on them all. Also, the field of insects is separated into a multitude of topics because it would otherwise be impossible to get a book done, or even carry the resulting book around.
What I do when I want to know about an insect is I pull out a reference like this (German, obviously): ![]() Then, if I want to delve deeper into it, or if the book doesn't contain a section about the specific insect, I go to the library and dig through everything they have. Uni libraries are best. Biology section, shovel out, good-bye afternoon. An author I want to recommend if you enjoy reading about insects in general is this dead dude: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean-Henri_Fabre That guy is the shit. |

Does anybody know where or if it's possible to rent the Batmobile? I need it for a day.
I found a company called characters for hire that supposedly does it out of New Jersey but they haven't gotten back to me, despite multiple contact attempts (maybe because I'm in Ohio?). Specifically the '89 Batmobile. |

From the show Pimp My Ride? Or are you talking specifically from the internet?

Is it random or are DayZ, DotA, and a few others immune for any particular reason? Is it because they are popular? Wouldn't they deserve to be sent to community for that very reason? I just don't understand is all.

I think threads dedicated specifically to talk about a game (usually already released games) or a specific IP/franchise automatically get sent to community after 30 days. Not 100% sure though.

Was the Prong song "Rude Awakening" part of the soundtrack of some movie or documentary in the late nineties or early 00s? Listening to it I get crazy deja vu sensations. It's far from their most popular song either according to Spotify, so I don't think I would have heard it regularily on the radio growing up or anything.

Something that's been happening recently on my home computer...When I'm browsing the internet, there super short (but noticeable) moments of "hiccup" going on. Like a super short delay between actions - clicking links, tab switching, scrolling, etc. Any idea what causes that?

I have Amazon Prime. With that I get part of their video service for free. Youtube has FINALLY opened a movie/TV streaming channel. You can Tivo/DVR to not miss a thing. You'd be surprised what's playing when. I once say an Alien/Aliens marathon on an obscure channel at 7 in a weeday morning! lol. Luckily, at the time, I had a DVR so I was smiling while having my coffee and reading the paper knowing that after work that day, I'll kickback to an alien marathon! I found that some of the best movies I liked had an average score of mid 80s on popular sites. Some of the shows almost getting full scores were mostly better than average, but you still needed to appreciate the angle and stuff. I don't personally care; if I like a show, I like it. Some shows only have a season and a half (couldn't even finish their second season) but it would be some of the best TV I've seen. and sometime, I am surprised that a show is on it's 9th season and I really haven't been interested more than watching only one- maybe two- episodes of it. Hmmm....It's a matter of taste, I suppose. |

Anybody know what the hell is that about? Someone mentioned that guy in a thread on that (fake) adele sex tape thread, saying adele looks like him. I googled him and got that video, a quick scan on his channel gave no answer to this weirdness. =\ |

What about DayZ? Are mods immune to being moved? How about playstation allstars, that's essentially the same thread as the smash thread except it's more about speculation, that gets to stay on the front page until the game is released? |

Well something about imap not responding, it is only happening to select accounts. And instead of being transparent about the issue, google just leaves users to troubleshoot on their own for a problem that literally can't be fixed by said consumer.
Their only response has been that a fix is "rolling out" over the next week. Some vague bs. Their tech support in google groups just keeps regurgitating the same " In the meantime you can use the gmail app to retrieve your emails, and we appreciate your patience.". Even though the gmail app is essentially garbage. Probably not, https://productforums.google.com/for...il/QqVyRkEcs_I |
