And muskets were often less effective against armor (in part due to the shape of the projectile), so that doesn't really prove anything in this context. |

A few people have touched on it already, but I think the amount of surface protection doesn't necessarily mean most practical. Other factors in armor practicality include
And I think boob armor is only impractical if it restricts arm movement ;]. |

(I quoted you just to see how you created your list, which i always seem to mess up! thanks guy) I think the Mercedes armor from Dragon's Dogma is probably the best post in the thread so far. DD has some really great armor (and some not so great) and most games have the worst armor... if you're looking for practicality.

Well if you are limiting armour the minimum is torso and head armour neither of which need to be designed radically differently for women. If you get critically hit on a limb then you can live on with it being amputated near the battlefield. Assuming you have good medical support, historically most people would die from infections.

Marcus is a fairly accurate comparison, although unlike Marcus Titania has high growths which mitigates Marcus's only real flaw - the subpar lategame.
50 pounds of steel is 50 pounds of steel, but like I said, the weight is distributed all throughout your body rather than principally on the shoulders and waist, and the armor is designed to allow virtually full range of motion. It's not easy to move around in compared to little or no armor obviously, but knights were nowhere near as hopelessly encumbered as many games like Fire Emblem seem to think they were. |

Will use d3doverrider to force triple buffering instead of complaining about mouse lag in every PC game thread ever

Seems everyone has different opinions on practical armor. An armor that gives you good mobility, protects your vital areas(Upper body), gives you enough flexibility, and vision is practical armor in my opinion. So female characters not wearing any leg armors or very little protection in that area doesn't bother me. Centurions and Hoplite are good examples of this.

I wouldn't exactly call that practical though, those spikes around the neck part could hurt a lot if they were to be deformed by some heavy blow. Chris's is really the most practical and efficient one: <3 And yes, I admit I have a weak spot for silver haired girls in full armor. |

They're spellcasters that sing to cast magic. Although in gameplay you're supposed to let the other party members tank the damage otherwise the magic you're charging loses strength. So really that metal contraption is about as effective as the other girls wearing their normal clothes.

Oh dear, not this again. There's nothing wrong with her character. She has a childish personality, so what?
