Sorry for some newbie 3DS questions.

What are the top 5 games on the e-store I should get for my new 3DS?

Are there any sales on the EU e-stores?

Can you get cheap pre-loaded card for 3DS anywhere for the UK-store?

Any plans for more consoles in Virtua Console?

I really hated A Kappa's Trail. I deeply wanted to love it, but the mechanics were frustrating throughout and just got broken towards the end. The maddening part was that it was easily fixable.

EDIT: Also, would not recommend Shantae. It's really unfinished. And that goddamn tower.

I know I'm a couple days late but I can't recommend Ivy the Kiwi at all. I found the retail version at Gamestop for four bucks earlier this year and snapped it up, played for like half an hour and just put it away until I traded it into to Best Buy for a three dollar profit a couple months later. Maybe it gets better the further you get but I thought it was one of the most mediocre, middle of the road games I've ever played, even for the low price. Shame since the coverart is so dope

Aura Aura Climber on the other hand is amazing

I bought Ivy the Kiwi on the Wii at retail and I loved every second of it. It's especially great if you're into score/time attacking. The DS version isn't as good though, because of the lower resolution and because the stylus blocks your view.

Making a port of Captain Rainbow for the WiiU for the eshop with worldwide release hopefully. Or a new Chibi Robo with U Pad control. I would also accept an RC Copter game with the dual analogue control and the screen for a map or top-down camera

I think for the most part, the reason because we don't get many VC games, atleast in NA, is because Nintendo doesn't want to run out within 5 or even ten years.

They may have quite a few first party GB,GBC,NES,SNES,N64, and GBA games they could putup, and I'm sure they will in time, but I think for the most part, 3rd parties (atleast in NA) are not on board the VC for some reason. The reason we are getting no 3DS or Wii VC games is because no one wants to put up VC games. The only people that still seem to be supporting both VCs is Sega, D4, and Capcom.

Nintendo hardly put out any Wii VC last year, now? We get a D4 fighter almost every week. Its because they decided to start releasing them for some reason. (of course, D4 may have wanted them last year, but thanks to the wii u and more vc options Nintendo may have just now started releasing them.)

Of course, this doesn't explain why we don't have some more capcom games like Megaman 6 this soon. Could it be capcom doesn't want to put it up or because Nintendo wants to spread the Wii VC out as long as they can? I do wonder, if Capcom wants it up now, what they must think of Nintendo of all regions since its not up anywhere. I just don't know what to believe when it comes to VC but obviously Nintendo wants to spread it out, and they may be few 3rd parties activively supporting it.

We may get a random 3rd party game thats not from the three like Rayman GBC, but it is few and far between. Remember, two GG games were supposed to come out in 8-bit summer. They completely dissapeared. Nintendo advertised these games as 8bit summer games and committed to releasing them in that time frame. Since they specifilly said that they would release, whos fault do you think it is that they aren't out? Seems like at least these two games it would be Sega's fault. Also remember that GG games were supposed to come out summer 2011 and again, they didn't come out to March 15th 2012.

I really wish we could know whos to blame and why, but sadly, that is impossible.

...wow. Who knew i could write such a long thoughtful post? I sure as hell didn't. I am shocked. Hope there aren't too many typos...

Well i'm pretty sure third-parties aren't making bank off of VC releases nowadays so they probably don't feel that it's worth the effort. Even though it requires almost no effort at all.

Sucks that the Hudson acquisition likely indefinitely put the lid TG16 showing up as a 3DS VC platform. That would have been nice.

This game looks decent but it will probably have terrible ghosting. The one 3d screenshot it has on the eShop page has pretty bad ghosting for me.

I'm just hanging out for Unchained Blades to come out on the store. Should be heaps of fun and be nice to have a nice beefy RPG like that always on my system.

I really really hope they don't have New Super Mario Bros 2 as the only digital release fort he week it comes out, that would be disappointing.

I really hope digital retail releases are put up on their B&M street date and don't affect the number of digital-only titles released in the same week.

Also I hope first party DLC doesn't affect eShop releases. I'm sure they'll probably push the NSMB2 DLC on the eShop PR even though they ignore Theatrhythm DLC.

European eShop prices have been announced:

Quote:
In news that completely stuns us, Nintendo has announced that New Super Mario Bros. 2 will cost £39.99 on the eShop – that’s a fiver more than the RRP and a tenner more than Amazon is charging.

Meanwhile, Freakyforms Deluxe is £24.99 (£19.99 on Amazon), with the £5.40 eShop original being removed from the store, and New Art Academy is £29.99 (£19.99 on Amazon).

I think this is it for Europe. Games Press keeps removing the table format so it's a pain in the arse to read:

Freakyforms™ Deluxe: Your Creations, Alive! (Nintendo 3DS Card Software) Nintendo eShop
(£24.99 UK Only)

New Art Academy™ (Nintendo) (Nintendo 3DS Card Software) Nintendo eShop
(£29.99 UK Only)

MYSTICAL NINJA starring GOEMON (Virtual Console)
(£2.70 UK Only)

THEATRHYTHM™ FINAL FANTASY® (SQUARE ENIX) (Nintendo 3DS (AOC))
(£0.90) each
March of the Dreadnoughts (FF13 - FMS)
Battle Theme (FF11 - BMS)
Esper Battle (FF12 - BMS)
Battle 2 (FF04 - BMS)

The Lost Town – The Jungle (DSiWare)

Escape The Virus: Shoot’Em Up! (DSiWare)

Not in-game, AFAIK. So YouTube or the samples from the official website (EU) (US) are probably the best alternatives.

North American handheld releases until the end of the year press release went out. Specifically, some stuff for the eShop:

Quote:
Arc System Works Vector Racing Aug. 23
Endgame Studio Fractured Soul Q3
Gamelion Speed X Q4
Konami Gradius Q4
Konami Mystical Ninja starring Goemon Q3
Nicalis Cave Story Q3
Nicalis Nightsky Q4

Nintendo Pokémon Dream Radar Oct. 7
Nintendo Sparkle Snapshots 3D Oct. 18
Nintendo Pokédex 3D Pro Nov. 8
Nintendo Fluidity: Spin Cycle Q4
Nintendo Wario Land II Q4
Nintendo Zelda II: The Adventure of Link Q4

nnooo Spirit Hunters Inc. Q4
Teyon Crazy Chicken: Pirates 3D Aug. 16
UFO Interactive Johnny Impossible Q3
XSEED Games Unchained Blades Q3
Hopefully "Q4" for Wario Land II is an early Q4.

Did we already know about this new Fluidity game for 3DS? I thought the first one was really cool, but the controls were annoying and prevented me from playing it a lot.

Probably two years since VC releases usually come two years after a rerelease (see SM64, Kirby Super Star, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy IV, whatever the hell else was rereleased)
