I went out and took a swirl around Kinokuniya in NYC today. The prominent display for manga had the Japanese volumes for One Piece 67, Shingeki no Kyojin 8, Silver Spoon 4, and surprisingly Yamada-kun 2. It tickled me a bit to see that amidst those titles.

One of my friends suggested I should read Lucifer Biscuit Hammer since I am looking for a battle manga. After reading FMA, i was simply unable to get into any other manga in the genre. However, recently KHR and now Lucifer Biscuit Hammer caught my eye. I really like the mob theme of KHR but my friend claims that Lucifer Biscuit Hammer is just as good as FMA. Anyone here read these manga? Which one do you like better and why?

I mostly agree, but again, there would be the issue of (the real) Masara saying that it looks like Tobi did a good job raising "that Nagato kid". Obito should be far younger than Nagato.
Still going with the theory that Tobi is the other half of Black Zetsu, and merged (?) with Obito at some point, for the moment...

Maybe something like this:
Around the time of the second war and shortly before dying, Madara creates (Black) Zetsu, who is some kind of weird Hashirama clone. (Black) Zetsu takes the dead Madara's Rinnegan and divides into two halves. One half merges with Madara's corpse and becomes Tobi (why would Tobi see Hashirama in Naruto if there were no Madara at all in him?), while the other half grows a White Zetsu half. Tobi gives Madara's Rinnegan to an Uzumaki kid (Nagato) and engineers the creation of Akatsuki.
During the third war, Tobi also merges with the remains of Obito, which allows him to regain a Sharingan. Shortly after, he engineers the fall of Akatsuki with Danzô's help, so that Nagato would link himself to the Gedô Mazô (we know that was shortly before Minato became Hokage). Then, there would be Naruto's birth. And the Uchiha massacre (there again with Danzô's help? the two would then share the Sharingan of the victims). And the whole Yagura business.

Man, it's not easy sorting Kishimoto's mess...

A volume where Thorfinn barely appears, and it's one of the best volumes yet? Unbelievable! :lol
Canuto is so much different from what I remembered, physically, that I didn't even recognize it was him on the cover.
I dislike Ketil's sons, but have to admit Thorgil was a badass this time and even though his stupid brother fell right in the trap and brought problem to their father, it also made it so Leif might get to find Thorfinn.
Now to hope that once the battle reaches the farm, Thorfinn will rise up to the challenge and act in a less unlikeable way compared to the past.

March Story vol 4


So, in this volume March's secret gets found out by both Velma and Rodin and that does cause some difficulties (in Rodin's case, more than a few difficulty, going by the end of the volume, I wonder how March will react to that).
I liked the reappearance of lady Janjagher because of what it brings to the story or, well, what it brings to March, as it could start the way to the conclusion of the story, since she was what put March on that path.

The Earl And The Fairy vol 4 END


Not a bad conclusion to the whole tale, though I was hoping for something with a bit more... strength, or something. For example, I would have loved a showdown with the prince because I feel that part wasn't resolved the way I wanted, but I guess given that the main revenge gets fulfilled and Edgar admit his love to Lydia, the half romantic ending is the way to go.

With this, 3 of Ayuko's works have been released over here and I've liked them all. Maybe I'll get lucky and more of her stuff will get licensed and released.

Been slowly getting through Magi. First volume I thought was pretty a'ight. Good sense of adventure, I thought the main characters were pretty okay, and I started to get into it by the end of the first volume. Finished up the second volume a bit ago and man I really started to enjoy it. I wasn't a huge fan of Aladdin at the start but holy crap that was all pretty bad-ass. I'm pretty excited to see where the story goes next. I am definitely on board with this series now.

Ahhh so good. I was initially worried at how things would go with Alibaba and Aladdin being separated (they're such awesome bros together!) but the story that this volume focused on was really nice. I'm definitely liking Aladdin's character more and more. His story is pretty fascinating and I'm eager to know more about his origins and about Ugo as well (I love how shy he was in front of Pai-mon).

Not gonna lie, the scenes of Baba's death was pretty powerful to me. Pretty sweet little arc with a nice ending. Now I'm wondering what's gonna happen with Morgiana but I think I'm gonna call it a night for now.
