If its fried in oil at the correct temperature, it shouldn't be greasy in the inside since the moisture inside the chicken is heated and pushes out, preventing oil from significantly penetrating the meat.

I don't live in the hills and/or woods (or the south), so the only place to get fried chicken is KFC (or Popeyes). Both have been greasy and disgusting (once you're beyond the delicious crispy exterior) for as long as I've been alive.
Agreed. KFC is a horrible horrible chicken. I only get strips from there. There are better places where the insides parent terrible but even then I'll take some all white meat chicken strips over regular.

Off-topic: I went there the other day and asked for a 10-piece. The lady said they only come in 5 and 12.

My yayas oven baked chicken simply with olive oil, lemon and oregano with roast potatoes and fasolakia (Greek bean dish) on the side is hands down the best way to eat a chicken.

That being said I still love fried chicken

In the UK the cashiers always ask if you want 2 extra hot wings for 99p no matter what you order.

HOW CAN A MAN SAY NO TO THAT.

Ameri-GAF, I'm lost on your ways to tea. Which one are you supposed to order with fried chicken, sweet or bitter?

I always took sweet for granted, but the last time I was in Nevada they always served it bitter (yuck).

I've gone off fried chicken. Haven't had any for 8 weeks now.

It doesn't really appeal anymore especially when it's so greasy.

Fat, salt and oil sealing in the awesome chicken juices that keep the meat moist and succulent on the inside, while crunchy and golden brown on the out.

Chickens, like all domesticated animals to some degree, are products of artificial selection. They didn't naturally evolve to be eaten fried. We bred them that way.

Yeah, we developed extremely precise feeding and breeding conditions to make the most effective chickenmeat possible to be fried and eaten easily.

Note I said effective, not humane or healthy.

If we're talking iced tea: sweetened if you're a hillbilly, unsweetened if you're a normal human.

If we're talking hot tea: No one in existence sweetens hot tea to the levels that hillbillies sweeten iced tea. They should just cut out the middleman and drink corn syrup.

Braised, and then in a standard Tupperware.

I've used it for Chicken Parmesan, Chicky enchilada's, and on salad. Day 4 and running out of ideas.

If you have time and want to try a slightly different technique, and braise your chicken overnight in a saltwater bath with some rosemary, sage, and honey. Feels free to research your own braising liquids.

Now take the chicken out, and pat it dry, and then cover it in oil and cook it sous-vide in the oven in a low heat for several hours. After that's done you can let it rest and, when ready to eat, take it to a hot pan and brown the outer skin golden and render the fat off.

You've never had chicken so good.

And goddamn it I'm having a bottle of ensure now.

This is right on top of the truth, below it is just the why. Hunter-gatherers had low-carb, high fat diets. We are (largely) conditioned to have favorable psycological responses to food like fried chicken. Crispness was typically a sign of freshness, why we enjoy that texture in our foods. Salt was not added to diets, as a suppplement or condiment, until recently in the long-scope of human history. Salt is needed and the cravings for it have not subsided as abundances grew. Oily denotes the high-ennergy fat that fueled the extinction of many large mammels.

Fried chicken is a nice treat to make once in awhile. The factory-farmed shit that gets passed around in chain restaurants is for fools and the lazy.
