The provisioning project finished sometime last night, and at the behest of some members who were itching for a new project, I threw up a normal science fleet exp project, which I believe we finished in record time. The absence of dilithium from the project probably helped that along though. :) Once the shipyard project timer runs down, we should hopefully have more military projects. We'll need to do a shipyard provisioning project before anyone can consider buying any ships, though I don't know if any of the Tier 1 ships are that interesting.
Edit: On another note, do you think it would be inappropriate to mention STO in the Star Trek OT in OT? I know gaming stuff shouldn't necessarily carry over into OT, but I'm sure there may be at least a few people in the OT who don't really visit Gaming or Gaming Community.

Probably worth getting a mod's steer on that. I'd imagine the OT thread is intended as a discussion point for the fiction and the production of the universe. The "path to 2409" might fit?
I think the item/ship provisioning projects are worth getting done. They still grant 500XP for each track. |

So out of curiosity, how are we going to ration out the provisioned equipment and ships when the time comes for that? We'll get 10 requisitions for those shields, which should be good enough for 1 each per player. Is there any way to regulate that?

Can we see stats for these anywhere? I don't see them on the wiki after a quick look. I don't think I'd even care for the shields, cause they're ground and meeeeeeeeh ground. I'll live with my MACO ones, unless these are just ridiculously better. (Edit: ok, other than the store now =P, and for future items?)
Also, man, still working on Darksiders 2, Sleeping Dogs, and Fall of Cybertron just came out. Haven't been getting in my daily max dilithium farm -_-

I've only got the Jem'Hadar ground set. I've not really run the ground STFs since I tend to get crappy PUGs when I do bother.
I might try them again decked out in Ultra-Rare fleet gear... |

Don't go with PUGs unless you have to. Try to join the channel EliteSTF which is full of people who's doing eilte STFs all day, best source of dilithium (1100 each run) plus the possibility (a little one) of the best gear of the game.

I can PUG the space Elite STFs with my eyes closed generally (the optionals being the only real issue). I'll probably give the channel you mentioned a whirl when I get the inclination to run the ground missions.
Have they fixed Armek in The Cure? He was pretty broken and unkillable for quite a while. |

You can change 120 chips for a full MACO/Omega/KHG ground set wit the remodulator included. That helps a lot. And, no, Armek si still the hardest boss to beat, I only know of 2 methods, the shotgun one, and it's more than a lottery with the orbital attacks and the sniper one and the last part with the shields he pop from nowhere it's a hell, but with the adequate team you can do it many times without anybody running away. |

Just a note, we should probably avoid the Military Operational Assets Provisioning project entirely for now. I don't know if the assets are really high in demand, if the doffs are really that rare, or if people are buying them all out and inflating them, but common sensor officers averaged half a million EC on the exchange the last time I checked, and that project requires 30 of them.

Remember the good ol' days when we used to post pics of our ships and characters and shit?
While I was banned for awhile, I had a chance to acquire the Sao Paolo version of the Defiant... it comes equipped with the Quad Phaser Cannons that are iconic for the Defiant besides its cloaking device. I have transformed my previous Defiant (the U.S.S. DOMINANT) to resemble the Sao Paolo skin as it is a bit more unique looking than the standard model which can be acquired at even Captain level. It is outfitted in a complete MKXII M.A.C.O. set. So now I have the Quad Phaser cannons and the Cloaking device, and now even the authentic Belfast/Defiant Bridge and interiors... I am as close to having the actual Defiant in game as possible. Here be my loverly ship orbiting DS9 with the wormhole looking yonder

How is the GAF fleet doing with fleet marks?
It's bottlenecking me, big time. I don't have the the inclination to grind it out anymore. In fact, I probably only done around ten FM missions in the past month, im so sick of it. I've run out of free FM from the fleet week event, and trading in doff CXP. Even the FM booster is relatively useless, needless to say my fleet projects have "grinded" to a halt. I was thinking if you guys have FM's to spare and an alt toon maybe you would be receptive to a trade? Fleet marks in exchange for something like say... fleet ship modules, lock box keys, or something else? |

I have a KDF character not in a fleet - if yours is KDF I'd be happy to donate them in lieu of them going to waste! |

My new money-maker: running Romulan Temple to loot Romulan Ale.
Speaking of which, where is everyone on the Romulan Ale / Dosi Rotgut front? I've got 11 Ale, 4 Rotgut in the bank. Is it 250 of each need should we run the Bartender fleet project? |

In the interim, you can make healthy profits on the exchange with Ale and Rotgut... if you know when it's a seller or buyer's market. |

I'm not sure if it's permanent or not, but the devs put the 50 Fleet Mark reward back onto the Investigate Officer Reports daily mission. Since you should already be doing it once a day for the dilithium anyway, it's a great way to earn marks for the fleet at the same time. If you're not aware, there are Foundry missions that are deliberately easy just for getting the daily done in less than a few minutes. For the Federation side, search for Easy Peasy under the Community Authored missions. There are three versions you can queue up, all of which have the same objective: walk anywhere near the tailor on Earth Spacedock. If you have some Federation alts, you can have them join the fleet as well just to contribute those extra marks.

There are now various pieces of fleet gear that you can get as long as your fleet is at a high enough level and stocked with provisions, although they require fleet credits and dilithium to buy even with the provisions. The higher end fleet stuff does look like it will greatly outclass the Mk XII STF gear, although we're not nearly to that level yet. Also, from what I've seen, the ground gear doesn't have any set bonuses like the MACO and Omega Force ground gear do. There are also fleet versions of some of the ships, but we need to get to the Tier 3 shipyard at the very least before we can access the good ones. For example, the Fleet Tactical Escort Retrofit (Defiant) is basically the same as the C-Store version, but with an extra tactical console slot, and 10% more hull. For the ships you also need fleet ship modules, which you can get from the C-Store or buy from the player exchange. |

Welcome news! As a fleet of one who refuses to do anymore FM missions I can finally go back to building my castle. Cryptic finally realized the fleet marks were the biggest bottleneck in castle building, considering all the money they would leave on the table not surprised they did. |

You run it, it tracks how long you've played the game and what achievements you have, and compares it to other people who run the same game. "You are now experienced in Star Trek Online. Play X more hours or get Y more achievements to level up to hardcore. Play Z more hours to become the #1 player on Raptr!" And then there are certain in-game rewards you can get for playing a game. Like "reach Hardcore status in this game and you can redeem a weapon pack!" There aren't very many rewards, though. |

As medalion already mentioned, borg set powers increases survivability. As for phaser, it has the best proc in the game( shuts down a random subsystem). AP doesn't have a proc, it just slightly increases the crit damage.

Speaking of Officer Reports...
I've just published my latest mission "Fieldwork" [ST-HPFYBU6ZQ]. It's a kind-of-sequel to my last missions "Uplift" for Feds and "yln Chen" for Klingons. It might still be in Review phase if you search for it, so you may have to become a reviewer (not a big deal, just means you get to see missions with less than 5 reviews). Would be great to get feedback! |

I was quite surprised to find this last night but I was checking the Exchange for anything to do with the Mirror Universe
Turns out there are Mirror Universe boxes that contain the Mirror Universe star cruisers in em I actually bought one for a lil over 200,000 credits and it was a full fledged Mirror Universe star cruiser that was modelled after the Sovereign class ship I've been flying it around, and it has this Yellow pattern all over the ship to distinguish itself from the regular Fed ships Other than the look, it doesn't seem to have any other particular benefits, but for something around 200,000+ ec's you could have a Sovereign class type ship at your disposal... not bad. |
