Battlefield 3 and Minecraft are up there. Favorite game ever, Halo 2. I played and loved Super Mario Galaxy, never got around to playing 2. |

Favorite Games in Series:
As far as this generation I'm going with Dead Space 1/2. Those games are the epitome of the genre they represent.

It's really hard to pinpoint a singular game that is above all others for me personally. I factor in time spent playing, story, replayability, amount of fun, etc. and a few come to mind: Limbo (story, art, game mechanics), Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 (amount of fun and time I spent playing this as a kid), Pokemon Blue (same as THPS4), Team Fortress 2, Minecraft, and Portal 2. Halo, GTA, and Kingdom Hearts all triumph those individual titles as a series, however when broken down into individual games it just isn't applicable. Although, if I had to chose, Halo 3, GTA: San Andreas, and Kingdom Hearts II are my favorite game in each respective series. |

Finally, another Link to the Past master race. Ocarina is a fantastic game, but Link to the Past has always been my favorite, followed by Ocarina, Majora's Mask, and Skyward Sword (although Majora's Mask might be tied with Ocarina).

I don't think the slightly lower number is that big of a deal if there aren't any clunkers in there. I'd take 8 good/great missions over 8 good/great missions + 2 Cortana-quality levels that I never want to play again.

As far as this gen goes though, game of the generation, by a landslide, goes to Red Dead. Best MP this gen I found in Halo 3. Best new franchise of this gen, once again by a landslide, is Assassins Creed. |

This generation? Bastion and SSBB came the closest in providing the amount of raw fun each Halo game gives me. |

I tried RDR right when it first came out, but got annoyed by what I felt like was awkward running / horse riding mechanics. But then the game got so much praise, I regretted not giving it more of a chance. I recently just borrowed it from a friend, so that second chance will be happening soon. I hope I like it, cause I definitely see the appeal.

But then I lasso'd a random woman. And put her the train tracks expecting some lame invincible NPC shenanigans. Nope. |

Here's a thought:
Merge Super Slayer and Team Objective into a 5v5 playlist called Squad Battle. Gametypes: (All gametypes include only Sprint and Hologram with DMR starts and TU settings) Squad Slayer (kill limit 75) Slayer Pro (no Sticky grenades) Shotty Snipers (low weighting) Multiflag CTF 2 Flag Slayer One Flag CTF Neutral Assault 3 Plots Maps: Battle Canyon High Noon Penance Ridgeline Solitary Anchor 9 Countdown Asylum Powerhouse Tempest Zealot Affinity Chateau Select Kingdom |

Metroid Metal Gear Halo If Super Metroid isnt the greatest game Ive ever played, then MGS4 would be pretty damn close, absolutely incredible experience The Prime series is unbelievable also. (so glad to see that Retro influence on Halo 4) Halo is my favorite game by far, but it (feels weird to say this) isnt the greatest game Ive ever played, but it has great sci-fi storytelling, social mp interaction, competitive modes, creative modes and a kick ass fanbase that makes being a halo nerd awesome. Its not that Halo isnt technically "as good", Halo is just almost a feeling or something, there are so many tertiary things that go with Halo that it shoots to the top of my list, not just gameplay or something. edit: The Dead Space franchise is worthy of a mention, not necessarily with the likes of my Big 3 by any stretch, but very good, very solid, awesomely fun and scary games for this gen

You know, I did a really good job complaining about the shipping issues earlier but never got around to thanking 343 for such a quick fix!
So David and Jessica (I know you read!) thanks for responding to me directly on Twitter and getting it sorted out so fast! |

But as for games this generation, it was Halo 3 until Skyrim landed. No game has ever pulled me in that hard, for so long, and let me do such a large proportion of what I wanted to do. The game basically scratched nearly all of my gaming itches at once, and in such huge volumes and in such a wonderfully created world set to one of the best soundtracks in anything ever....yeah. No contest on that question. |

![]() Edit: My screenshot is from this writeup on how you can see beta content in the final version of Reach's boneyard. I think the other guy is posting screenshots of Reach content backported to Halo 3. Or Halo 3 assets buried in the Reach disc.

My favorite game this gen is either Alan Wake or Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. I can't really chose between those two. |

The only two game types I know of that are announced but not yet exhibited are CTF an Oddball. I'm guessing CTF will be featured, as it seems like a better fit for a show floor.

Announced and playable: Slayer Infinity Slayer Regicide Announced, but haven't been playable at an event yet: CTF Oddball King of the Hill I'd based off that list that CTF will be the new playable gametype at PAX. Flag Pistol here we come. |

Oh ya that's right. I hope they show us how throwing oddballs and using a pistol with the flag will play out in multiplayer. |

The full Awakening track is good. Good.
There is still some place if you update the achievement. (=when you add extra achievements) Yep. I am expecting CTF, too. At least I hope it is. It's my favorite objective gametype next to Assault.

After listening to the full version of Awakening emailed from the pre-order a few hours ago, I can safely say that the samples will NEVER do the full tracks or Neil Davidge's work justice. The difference is night and day. I think a lot of people who are sceptical will come around once they hear the full tracks.
The track by itself is amazing, so I can't imagine how it can get any better (it will) once I know the context during the game. Such a great composition. |

>>8 missions
>Internet joins hands to say THE FUCK, DUDE? I don't know why, but i want the guy who said 'Aw 8 missions is fine they don't need a longer campaign' to have this reaction |
