Patton is perhaps the most notorious example of this. However, the movie is actually better for having George C. Scott's deep resonant voice. We probably won't get anything resembling Lincoln's "real" voice, but knowing Daniel Day-Lewis, it probably won't conform to any stereotypes either. It will probably be something appropriate for the film.

No matter what it can't be as atrocious as Vampire Hunter's ending.

The book upon which Lincoln is supposedly based does cover his assassination, but there are any number of reasons why Booth may not be listed in the credits. Perhaps Spielberg thinks that the assassination is already well-known and shouldn't be included as part of the film. Perhaps it shows the assassination but not much of Booth himself. I don't really know how credits work in movies.
But this is my first time learning that Jared Harris will be playing Grant. That's an interesting casting choice. |

My father writes a time-travel series and Lincoln is a character in one. He's kind of down on DDL's hair.

I was looking for him in the IMDB credits but couldn't find him. It seems strange to me that they would use Team of Rivals as a foundation for the script and yet not include Chase, especially since every other pivotal figure in the administration is in the film - including Lincoln's own personal secretaries.
