I did it for months. It's no different than people accessing facebook and netflix at work (which also aren't blocked), especially during a lunch break. Or sites that were blocked at one time as spam that aren't. or how our filter no longer categorizes xbox.com as games, but playstation and nintendo are. Oh and I'm part of I.T. anyway :)

Oh shit this works!

Can you change the meta data so it doesn't contain the word games, I think that's how my work blocks stuff :P

But I will enjoy it while it lasts anyway

Edit: can't login though :(

I can view neogaf.net/forum from work, but when I sign in, it goes from the "Thank you for logging in" page to the forum, and then Imcan see at the upper right that I'm NOT logged in. I try to post and it asks for login info again. I log in again and the same thing happens.

Right now I'm posting from my iPad with LTE to get around that.

My company is very strict with this website filters, they do not allow any kind of forum or social website, and they do not allow "entertainment", "videogames" and things like that. Now if a website is new, you can't access to it since it might have virus, it has to be checked first.

But I guess there is a blessed member of NeoGAF in the IT security department, because neogaf.com is whitelisted, and about half of the websites I try to enter to look for information about my work are filtered/not accessible.

My employer forbids the private use of the company's dedicated line. Well, so MobileGAF it is.

Is this only a German or European thing to prohibit the private use of the Internet?

Also cheers to Evil and Gromph for putting in so much time catering to all of our whining. We can't thank you enough.

The Symantec Cloud system we have at work still blocks it, most likely as it has games in its metadata. Boo.

neogaf.net/forum still blocks for me behind ZScaler. Internal proxy based filtering, I think the site is still flagged as Gaming.
