@ bold: Yep it's not allowed and with Dredd being so devoted to the law he basically ignores her (although that same thing got her in some really deep shit and he helped her out along with her family name). As for Dredd he is devoted to the law but he did some pretty shady shit that could have been seen as breaking it imo (Democratic March) and he has a few times gotten disillusioned about it. This movie looks really interesting and more in line with the comics

This new movie is going to take itself too seriously and become a generic action flick forgotten about the next weekend. |

BTW, I was watching Louis Theroux's Law and Disorder in Johannesburg and I thought that Joburg is quite probably the closest thing to a modern day Mega-City One in terms of fuckedupness and chaos. The filming location makes all the more sense. Edit: Dredd was actually filmed in Cape Town, but you get the idea anyway.

Well the BBFC have rated it an 18 and unsurprisingly for a lot of the violent films i wanna see it reads like a PR press release. The thing is it kinda seems spoilerish with regards to what violent scenes can be expected in the film

It's more about the yuxtaposition of modernity, mad urban sprawl/crumbling infrastructure and the random examples of utter depravity. |

I'd rather live in Johanesburg than somewhere like Detroit. |
