Is this the biggest case of port begging ever? I can't think of a game that caused more port begging than this.

You know, that is a point that I am bothered does not come up much. If you're angry that the game ended up on a Nintendo system, then shouldn't that anger be directed at SEGA, since they're the ones who bailed on it, causing this situation? But the anger goes toward Nintendo (who just picked up something no-one else would), and more depressingly Platinum (who just want to make games).

Don't know if you know this, but most gamers are dumbasses who can't think critically, especially if it involves Nintendo "stealing or gaems".

I deeply remember the Final Fantasy VII betrayalton. I also remember going to the local rental store in mid-2006 during summer break, signing out a PlayStation for $20 to try the games and see if there was anything else I enjoyed on it that would make me consider it seriously, rather than blithely writing off the entire game library with the exception of that one game. I played Resident Evil that day. And all was right with the world. My brother bought a PSX the following fall.

Shame that a lot of people are so quick to write off a platform before they get a total handle on it. This one game will give you incentive to look at the rest of the library 6 months to a year in and really see if there's something you can enjoy there.

there was quite a lot of bitching when epic mickey was announced as a wii exclusive. i think the bitching in that thread made a bit more sense though. i honestly am completely baffled as to how any bayonetta fan can be disappointed that a previously-dead sequel is not-dead now, though.

If you want to play Bayonetta 2, Wii U now has a system-seller (or system-borrower). That's should be the end of it.

While you are at it check out Kamiya's own The Wonderful 101 and other potentially good/interesting exclusive titles like NSMBWiiU, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (with online), Pikmin 3, and ZombiU.

Personally, I think the Nintendo is a piece of right wing garbage akin to the IBM PC. Slow, out of date, but heavily marketed so that mindless dweenies will think it's the hottest thing since Zelda had her first period. I think the mainly bullshit part is that Bayonetta as a game was made for "standard consoles" like 360/PS3. There is no valid reason why a sequel to said game need to be EXCLUSIVELY on a special console like WiiU, since it isn't a spin-off, but a true sequel.

Expect it. Each gen has its "dividing line", so to speak. In the 16-bit time, it was censorship. In the "CD" era, it was analog stick vs. D-Pad. The DVD era was possibly the least divisive generation ever, though not without its quibbles, as it cemented the multi-plat. This gen was HD vs. "waggle".

Next gen? East vs. West.

The Wii did get a lot of 3rd party support, great games, too, but when Capcom makes Umbrella/Darkside for Wii while other systems get ResEvil 5, or EA puts a lightgun spinoff of Dead Space and a "family friendly" Boom Blox on the Wii while putting Mirror's Edge, Dead Space, Mass Effect, etc. on other systems, it's hard for people to say that the Wii got the better deal and is worth it over PS360.

Of course, all of those Wii games are actually pretty awesome when you really play them, but still. You and I can agree that the Wii had very good 3rd party support (I'd say that in some ways, it had better 3rd party support... 3rd parties actually cared enough to give the Wii exclusives, while other systems just got ports), but I can easily see why some wouldn't think so.

Wii has some of the best 3rd party titles of the generation. Only 3rd party game on PS360 better than Little King's Story is Bayonetta.
