Well I have high hopes they can atleast make a fun game, something Yukes! games were not. Plus EA will sink more resources into the game to atleast make it look more polished and professional. I can't wait to see what they do with PS4. The wrestlers will look incredible. The game might start out a little rough, but it will definitely get better every year.

Do we know if this is an unlimited time auction? Or does it have to be finished by the time of the next hearing?

Long auction means that there is a strong demand for the assets? I guess that's good? I just hope that something happens with most of the IPs. It sucks to see things mothballed and forgotten because no one wants to do anything with them.

Really hope Sega gets Relic. They have established themselves as a good PC publisher. Sports Interactive and Creative Assembly have been doing very well under Sega. Would like to see Relic there as well.

Crazy to think of the turn around in overall theme that Sega has made but I totally agree.

Jeff Gerstmann is desperately fighting for the rights to Saints Row and is currently using his Game Of The Year debating experience to acquire the IP as well as nominating Koch Media as Disappointment Of The Year.

Honestly, if they get Relic, their PC output will likely be more notable than their console and handheld output combined at this point, which is pretty much as far away from what they used to be as you can get.

They DID own 54% of NJPW, until Jan 2012, when they sold off their shares to some Japanese card game company called Bushiroad

Yuke's also make pachinko games, which is a very healthy business for them. They also recently acquired the Lingerie Football League license...

I don't think my heart can take this anymore. Untrue rumors about EA buying Relic, then strong indications of Sega acquiring Relic. It's a rollercoaster ride, that's for sure.

I don't think there was ever a rumor that EA was buying Relic so much as they were one of the only strategic fits and showed interest in evaluating the studio.
