There're people saying that Japanese will stop buying Luigi because Nintendo is advertising Tomodachi. With 3DS huge installed base, I do think both games can coexist, and Luigi might have good legs after all. Not to reach the 1 million mark, of course.

Drops were almost the same for both systems. Wii U dropped 35%. Vita Dropped 39%.

No way, vita being a port machine hurt it. 3DS is a unique platform with its own games.

Game & Wario at 36K according to Famitsu, and didn't drop nearly as sharply as DQX. Maybe it'll sell out of its first shipment in 2 year.

What does Vita's software lineup look like for the next few months?

I think both it and Wii U are heading back to the sub-10k/week range until they have consistent software releases.

Dunno but pretty soon the only system with positive growth YoY will be the Vita!

And to think I expected Vita at 24K this week, despite the lack of software. Guess I was just overcompensating for lowballing it for most of March.

The price cut's impact might yet surpass my expectations (no improved baseline), but it's probably already fair to call it a failure from Sony's perspective, as I'd say 20K is the bare minimum baseline that might get the larger third parties to positively reevaluate their investment in the platform.

Yeah, I was expecting that Vita drop, but was hoping for more. And third place with 26k units... Terrible week.

Yet Nintendo thought game and wario was perfect for Wii U.

If anything, the better strategy would be to release Game and Wario on 3DS where it belongs since its a handheld franchise, and Luigi's Mansions 2 should be on the Wii U.
