If I have never played an anime fighting game before (apart from DBZ games) would I like this? I like Mortal Kombat, Injustice and MvC3

If you liked MvC3, you might like P4A. Moves at a quick pace, but has a lenient learning curve. The fighter itself is well worth it even if not familiar with the Persona series, but people who played P3 and P4 will be the ones to get the most out of the story mode (there are spoilers for both games, so something to consider if you're interested in playing the RPGs at some point).

I was the same as you but watched the P4 Anime. It's probably the best fighter around for newcomers to the genre.

The game is called Persona 4 Arena. I assume they prioritized the P4 crew because of it and brought in some P3 peeps that made sense as fighters.

I strongly suggest you don't touch the story mode until you play through at least Persona 4 (and maybe 3). It'll spoil a good deal of P4, and some of P3 for you.

I thought it was that it spoils pretty much all of P3 and small amounts of P4.
