That's pretty much all is it. GR has jack all readership compared to the majors.

I was under the impression that he RUNS the site. If so... my statement stands. If he just works there... then I take it back :)

no, i don't "run" gamesradar. i'm one of the senior editors, so i'm above some people and below others. comfortably midly.

though i don't have much to say on this specific topic, i will say that i think people are taking it more seriously than i expected. but on the other hand, sure, i see why. it was just a piss-take, really, in my eyes. it didn't really work out. oh well. (no, i wasn't personally involved.)

Lolz, it'd be more acceptable for 1UP to do a story like this... the Halo 3 in September thing was pretty blatant.

I do believe there's a connection between when the lists were released. But, honestly, why the hell would you whine about something like that? I can understand if it was plagiarism but this definately isn't. I haven't seen anything this immature from a professional site before.

Oh. Hi, thread. I missed you.

Truth be told, I've kind of been waiting for the chance to follow up on this one.

Only sorry that "GamesRadar Rips Off 1UP's Tits" apparently wasn't an acceptable headline.

Also, I'm kind of unlurked tonight. I guess I'm sorry for that, too.

The article in question was intentionally antagonizing, meant to be taken with a grain of salt, and perhaps a lot more amusing to everyone here than anyone else. At least we had a good laugh. Also, it was a really long time ago.

Thanks for the parody Sharkey - it was refreshing. We are made fun of in a lot of ways, but few are particularly clever... generally it's something like, "gamezrader suxXX i nly reed gamespot!!11."

I have a multitude of potential snarky responses, one of which implies that I could buy 1up and EGM with the change under my sofa, but instead of silly faux rivalries, let's all play some ehcks-bawks thr3-sicksty at my house and have a good time. You can even drink my beer. What say you?

Cheers,

No. I need about $10 million. You'd have to pay that for those companies, even if you believe the (edit: real vs. market) value to be less, no?

Exaggeration for the sake of humor. Can't say anything on the internet without being taken literally, or having someone feign to take you literally in order to make you explain yourself, thus neutering the chance of any humor anywhere ever. I do love the internet... I think I'll go edit random Wikipedia entires and submit porn sites to Digg.

Though actually, I am Canadian. Which means I can't vote here, but I do have to pay taxes. However, not having to do jury duty makes up for all of it. Edit: But I will consider citizenship if I can vote for Colbert, because I'm easily swayed by internet buzz and popular opinion.
