OMG who remembers the first PSN Store???!! What was that Dreamcast-like web page!?! lol...we've come so far...

To be fair I'd be surprised if both UI's weren't drastically different by this time next year.

After 3 generations of early adopting in a row, I decided I wouldn't do it this time. Probably because I wasn't crazy about the launch titles on WiiU and now PS4.

if everyone had that "lets wait a year" line of thinking these consoles would flop so hard..they'd be doing wii u numbers :p

I love knack. I do see the problems it had but it doesn't change the fact that is a fun game, especially on harder difficulties. I'm also addicted to twitch, now and will be streaming very hard mode this week.

Just because of the influx of 'go buy WiiU" at the expense of PS4/X1 by the media today. WiiU is awesome, but on it's own merits. PS4/X1 offer something completely different for me at least.

Nintendo had a really slow start after launch, a trend that neither PS4 or X1 looks to have. While neither launches are reinventing the wheel in innovative titles, there's plenty to play and some unique experiences already on next-gen platforms, along with all the potential early adopters get to see from the UI, OS, controller, and new graphical limits.

So, while I do hope more people pay attention to gaming, and experience some of Nintendo's latest, I have to thank early adopters for waiting in the cold, for hours, to put in there hard earned cash, and bring home a system just to be locked out of online play when they first get home and plug it in lol...

You guys are the ones that Call Sony and MS and complain about defective units, borked systems, network outages, supply demand, glitches, and the like. Because of you, records are broken, information is exchanged. Early adopters gave us proof that MS isn't as silly as there early PR suggest, and Voice commands can actually be cool. Early adopters showed us Knack is actually a pretty fun title, and in no way comparable to the other games receiving similar grades from these so-called gaming critics. Early adopters made us use twitch for the first time, showed us the future of our gaming living room setups, and they bear the brunt of perhaps being one of the unfortunate 1%.

Not everyone has all the disposable income to get every platform that releases. If not for early adopters to show us the way to our preference of gaming then who? The gaming media??! Thank goodness that is not the case.

Here's to early adopters!!!

For lighting the flames for a next-generation!!!

WOOOOSAAAAI

You're welcome… And haters gonna hate.

KI and Knack are awesome, BTW.

tks man...no long discussion was necessary, just wanted users to know I appreciate all the updates and posts on next-gen. GAF has helped me out with TV purchases, games not on my radar, and it's the same for next-gen. So many users in one place has it's benefits.
