Yep. That's not to say the developer getting involved is inherently a bad thing. It can be good if done right but if done wrong it's disastrous (because it shuts out everyone else).

Speaking of which, it seems like people are none to impressed with Riot's official response.

I think people forget this is because of hotshotgg, he was paid to promote that lord of the rings dota game while being one of the big names of lol at the time.

riot need some control, but be better if it wasn't a blanket ban.
