The first episode of The Wolf Among Us is finally coming to iOS tonight. $4.99 an episode, $14.99 for the season pass. Sign me up.
The higher resolution the screen the better it works. They just have to make sure they scale by a multiple of the original resolution if they want to avoid blurry edges.FFVI mobile looks too smooth and, in my opinion, loses the gritty and dark tone that the original had. I'm not sure how the original pixels can stretch on an iphone/ipad screen though. A compromise I guess.
I literally looked up the release date for that about two hours ago and couldn't find anything. Awesome news!http://toucharcade.com/2013/12/04/te...g-tonight-too/

I'm looking forward to this. I refuse to jump back into the Walking Dead after finishing Season One as it was just to heavy.
If you don't own it, buy it.
Um yes I second this. One of the best games on iOS I have ever played.Carcassonne is on sale for the first time in three years, from $9.99 to $6.99.

Not only that...the Dragon and Princess expansion is coming out before Christmas too.Carcassonne is on sale for the first time in three years, from $9.99 to $6.99.

Go get it.

Alright let me get this out of the way and say Angry Birds Go! Is SICK (you can swap to New Zealand App store to get it before the 11th)
The only downside is the pay to play model for vehicles and racers. It was amazing for the beginning but once you unlock a second racer you have to use in game currency to keep your racers stamina up to keep racing. The Stamina meter does not come into play until you unlock the first racer.
Each racer can seemingly do 5 races every 20 mins. So Once you have enough of them unlocked it wont be an issue but I hate games that put time caps on.
Games like this and PvZ2 annoy me because id shell out some actual coin for a unlock all/payed version like apps used to always offer.
The in game currency is not broken though, Ive been able to easily gather enough coins while playing to upgrade vehicles and stay in first without dropping a penny even after about 30 races.
Took some screen shots too.
Vehicle upgrade screen. You can see the coin value after Ive already done a dozen upgrades is not offensive.

Character select screen
You can see there will be plenty of racers to unlock. You can see the selected birds stamina on the top right, currently it is full meaning she can race 5 times. Then wait 20 minutes for her to refill or spend 10 crystals. The crystals aren't hard to come by but are in much less abundance than coins.

Level select here shows the different game types. Time trials, head to head, standard race and fruit splat. The center racer can be unlocked when you complete the challenges and then beat him in a race.

In game race. I find the touch controls much easier.

Race end screen. You can see a single race win got me enough coins for more than half an upgrade. So no payment seems required if you want to play. They do always annoyingly have the double coins for life button which costs 9.99$
You can also see your friends top scores next to yours on the top right.

Im really loving this game. Its by far the most fun Ive had on a Kart Racer for iOS and it looks sweet too.
Here's their latest: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pinb...ii/id533037359
It's gorgeous on iPad Air. I hope this business model is working out for them.. they deserve some success. Extremely honest games that have no DLC.
Bought their other table ,Pinball Tristan, as a result of your recommendation. Great game! Thanks.Originally Posted by Ingueferroque

It's actually their first Pinball game from waaaay back, of course it's entirely re-done and looks very nice and crisp.Bought their other table ,Pinball Tristan, as a result of your recommendation. Great game! Thanks.

Crystal Caliburn 2 is also a remake, but from one of their most popular later releases, so it's a bit more complicated and 'rich'. Though the simplicity of Tristan is really appealing! Glad you like it!
HOLY SHIT!http://toucharcade.com/2013/12/04/te...g-tonight-too/

In it for the season pass, unless it has problems playing on OG Mini
Thanks for pointing this out.Carcassonne is on sale for the first time in three years, from $9.99 to $6.99.

I had been debating whether to buy it since I got my 5s. The regular price felt just a tad too high. Good to finally have a reason to dive in.
Works fine on my ipad air. The first time I opened it, it took a while to load up. I think it was downloading something off the internet.Game still doesn't work on my iPad air. And they updated it today but no mention of this issue.
But yeah, it shows obnoxious ads while playing.
Wolf Among Us is out:

I don't see any signs of ads or ad-removal IAP's as I play it right now. Is it possible that people who purchased it originally have ads disabled by default? I'd be pretty disappointed if not, that would be a dick move by PopCap.Very sneaky. I wonder how people who bought it feel right now...lol.

I see a remove ads button on the bottom-right corner of the home screen, and an ad to the left of the play area.I don't see any signs of ads or ad-removal IAP's as I play it right now. Is it possible that people who purchased it originally have ads disabled by default? I'd be pretty disappointed if not, that would be a dick move by PopCap.

It's much better than that comically oversized iPad UI, which I hope to god they scale down in a future update.
edit: holy shit, I just noticed that the punch button overlaps the kick button on iPad, effectively preventing you from actually hitting it. Fucking gross.
And the pause button doesn't actually work on iPad.
Oooh, I saw a preview of that and it looked great. I might have to grab this.http://toucharcade.com/2013/12/04/te...g-tonight-too/

Played through the tutorial and so far I think it has a lot of potential.
Looking forward to playing more!
Perfect blend of simplicity and depth.

This came out of nowhere (at least for me). F2P though.
I'm not going to say every F2P game is bad these days, but...Heroes of Dragon Age:

At least put some effort into naming your IAPs! $99 pack, $99.... it doesn't even sound exciting so who is going to buy that?
Why not the "Legendary Hero Pack" or the "God of Gaming Booster".
Seriously put some effort into it.
;)Wow, Battle of the Bulge really is something special. Seems like the sort of strategy game that everyone should be making for iPad.
Perfect blend of simplicity and depth.
Yeah it's really awesome with tons of cool touches everywhere (I LOVE the different musics in the menu if you are axis or allied, for instance).
Check Drive on Moscow too.
Async multiplayer is stellar too.
Sometimes I think it would be better to just send Games Workshop my credit card.
Impressions later.

Yeah, the localization is well done but Lucy in particular makes it seem absurd if you're not familiar with the fact that it's a dialect. It's absolutely wonderful. If you mean certain words appear to be poorly translated it's the characters' dialects and accents.
Unfortunately a lot of people thought Lucy's speech was full of typos because they aren't familiar with the grammatical variations of Yorkshire accent.
The game has a great localization, Richard Honeywood was involved and he's been doing a good job for ages.
