Gaijinworks set to tease new PSP localization in Retro magazine

I assume this means that it's a PSP game that they've enhanced to have special features when played on a Vita. I'm pretty sure that hasn't been done before.

In any case, I'm excited to hear what it is. :)

I would be ecstatic if the big RPG is Growlanser 1, but ya right... I would settle for Far East of Eden: The 4th Apocalypse though, that game looks like a joy to play.

Amped for what's next! Been checking Twitter everyday for an announcement so I can hop on. I just wish Gaijinworks had a newsletter.

I still proudly display the entire WD catalog, so obviously I'm down for whatever Vic has going on. In fact I'm awfully glad he's still active and not living on cracker and ketchup packet sandwiches.

just to say, i'd still be really happy to get criminal girls :) ...

Preaching to the choir man. I'd sell my left nut for a lot of games. Hell, for a select few games I might even sell both.
I'd be a nutless shell of a man with some great games that do nothing for me anymore, but I wouldn't care!

excited for the squeal?

Looks so awesome.

This.

Did you even play CoH2? Because it is good.

Can't wait. My money's on Oreshika.

I wasn't a fan of CoH2. I only tried for about an hour before I got bored. I liked Elminage Original a lot better despite the shoddy localization. I may give it another chance later.

Oh this is really relevant to all my interests! Glad I opted to get the premier issue of Retro physically! Makes it even more anticipated!

Keep on keeping on Vic!

I agree, Elminage Original is a much better game. But CoH2 has better writing, which helps.

And CoH2 is a slow burn. I'd say the third dungeon is when it really opens up. It has a HUGE amount of variety.

Shame about the music, though. I love that about Elminage.

I actually found COH2 ticked down my list of everything bad in videogames. And yet I found myself addicted to it in no time. I just don't understand why I'm addicted to it though. It's strange.

Yeah I liked the music/art in Elminage quite a bit. It may be a while before I try CoH2 again because I think I want to try out Dark Spire and Mystery Dungeon first. I think I'll look at a guide before I start next time though.

Also I hope this announcement is for Growlanser though there are many good choices for PSP.

In an ideal world Vic would pursue Elminage II instead of CoH3, but ah well. I guess anime is more marketable. I hear each new Elminage is worlds better, much like CoH.

CoH3 is supposed to be really good though(and have dungeon BGM!), so I'm sure I'll try it anyway.

Yeah I'm looking forward to Dark Spire a lot. It is funny because when I first saw I had no interest in first person games and passed new copies of the box set at gamestop for $10 a bunch of times and now I regret it haha.

Elminage Original got me interested in dungeon crawlers and its part of the reason I bought CoH2. I did manage to find a copy last year for $12 with the soundtrack at least but copies with the outer box are pretty expensive. Now I need to play it but I keep getting distracted.

Looks like the digital preview of Retro is unexpectedly online as of a few minutes ago, so part of the information and one title (not the big PSP RPG) will be out there very soon. It also will tell you what the cool feature is, but it doesn't SHOW it.

I think the Working Designs Faithful deserve a teaser here as well. :p

If you're talking about a re-translation of Genso Suikoden I+II, I think I'd die happy. I need to stop dreaming though.

Btw Vic, I just started playing Lunar 2 for the first time and wanted to thank you for your effort all these years.

You're in for a treat. I love so many characters in that game. Ronfar and Mystere, especially. Mystere needs his own game.

Whoa! Is it a good thing that I never bought COH2? Or is it a crossbuy thing...

Now I'm really interested in this "dual screen play" but glad to see the PS3 version of CoH2 is coming overseas. I hope it fares a lot better than the PSP version, saleswise.

Doubt it'll be cross-buy... Or maybe it will? I have no idea anymore.

In either case, as I said above, it's a very.... Strange title for me as I find it both addicting and terrible, though other people seem to just plain love it. So.... Shrug?

I would settle for a relisting of Suikoden 1 to the Swedish(European) PSN, own the physical copies but want it on me, or rather on my vita at all times!

Hate that I bought it on PSN a few years back and now its gone :(

Well, the Japanese Lunatic Parade CDs were like The Adventures of Mystere: Hero of Justice. ;P

I hope not. I haven't read it, but someone I know who has played the PC version said it's only worth it for the porn, which the Vita version wouldn't have.

I really don't think the international VN audience would care much for the all-ages versions of 18+ games instead of uncut.

Well, I know I could have done without the eroge in F/SN. It adds nothing.

I agree that it doesn't add much to a lot of games, but that's only after I've played them. The prevailing attitude is that censorship turns people off and enthusiasts already like to get as close to the original experience as possible.

The comedy in it is really good. Porn certainly isn't its main appeal even if I didn't like the more serious stuff as much as others.

That's for PC releases, putting it on a console or handheld you are going for a broader audience.
