Intro: Here we go Playstation owners! The very first Playstation 4 Exclusive Racer is almost upon us: DRIVECLUB. DRIVECLUB is a socially active racing game, meaning you will always be connected to the internet in some way (there is a SP, so don't worry!). This social aspect is the base for the core of DRIVECLUB. Clubs. Clubs are the force behind the social aspects of DRIVECLUB and let us make this NeoGAF group. These clubs allow us to become unified throughout the game. Always contributing to the group even if we get last place in a race. SO! With that said, I would like to personally open the flood gates for NeoGAF's Official "DRIVECLUB" Club. This group is EXCLUSIVE to NeoGAF members, whether you are a Junior or a Member, only NeoGAF users will be allowed into the group.
Signing Up: If you are reading this then you are most likely interested in joining the group. You may be wondering how to do it, eh? Well that's what this section of the thread is for. Here are the easy steps:
1. Reply in some way with the format:
[NeoGAF User]
[PSN]
[Region of the World (US East, US West, US Central, EU UK, EU Germany, AUS, etc.) ]
2. Along with myself, there will be other leaders! If you want to be a leader please PM me with your information as listed above and I will give you the link to the Google Drive Spreadsheet! If you are a leader: DO NOT GIVE THAT LINK TO ANYONE ELSE! Us leaders will be accepting people in and updating the Google Doc Spreadsheet.
3. After you have posted the information above, AND been excepted in you are now a member** of NeoGAF's Official "DRIVECLUB" Club!
4. DEADLINE TO SIGN-UP IS: Sept.9 or when we hit 300 people registered in the Google Doc.
Rules:
1. HAVE FUN! SERIOUSLY! This is by far the biggest rule!
2. No disrespect! We are all one happy family!
3. No double posting your information. We will get to it! You CAN ask if we have gotten to you IF you reply with your post link!
Season System:
So the basis of this Season System is Leagues, and inside these Leagues are divisions. The Leagues will (AS OF RIGHT NOW) be determined by region of the world, which is why I made you post your region. Now, there will also be Divisions inside of the Leagues, based off of your clubs highest Time Trial Times so that we can organize clubs in order of skill. Here is an example of what it would look like:
Now, DONT panic. These are not all of the regions so don't fret. If you look at that picture you can see that there are 5 clubs per division. I like the #5 because it's an easy number. So we are going to shoot for 5 clubs per division based off of the final number of people we get. So, with all of THAT said, I'm going to explain why we call it the Season System. Each Season will be a span of 3 months. Your club will have to play 12 games total in the span of 3 months, so preferably one race a week. After the "Regular Season" is done, in the 4th month is where the playoffs begin to see if you Club can make it into a higher Division or to see if you can maintain your spot in your division. We did come to the conclusion that there will only be 5 (or whatever number we decide) clubs in the division which allows for promotion to a new division and bumping another team down or being demoted by another team to either a lower spot in your division or even another division altogether. For example: In the picture above you can see the clubs. Say that in NA West Club 1 of Division B played Club 5 of Division A, and they won. Club 1 of Division B would then move up to Club 5 of Division A bumping down the other club to their previous division and rank. All of this is in the 4th month, or the "Post-Season". These rankings at the end of the season will then carry over to the next season.

DRIVECLUB GAF Cup:
Information from Update 5: "Yet another thing, and possibly the most fun thing we decided, was the "DRIVECLUB" Gaf Cup. This Cup will be structured like the FIFA World Cup in that your club will have to qualify, and that your club may play clubs that are halfway across the world. More details on this to come."
