I mean if it is it's old. I checked the protomen's website and it's 404ing (well their home page) but their myspace page has them playing gigs recently.

It doesn't matter how little it has to do with it. That it involves two scientists named Dr. Thomas Light and Dr. Albert Wily creating a series of robots specially designed to take on labor deemed dangerous for humans is enough to put it square within Capcom's right to go after them if they wanted to.

But, as this is a joke, they didn't. So it is all moot.
