Just bought a 3DS a couple days ago and while I'm finding Swap Note/Letterbox fun, I do find how it locks off stuff to you until you use it X amount of times pretty annoying. Is there a way to use multiple colors in the same note, use various line thicknesses or reply more than once to a note?

Well... DOes Colors 3DS/Art Academy (I have no clue if these are the same game or not) let you send people who *don't* also own the game pictures from them? I'd be tempted to get one of them if they do.
Those are two different games, and yes you can. The images are saved to the SD card and are treated like any other image you'd have stored on there.

Edit: I got the Pokémon stationery from a friend. There are actually two; one with Genesect and another with Black Kyurem and White Kyurem.
Got a special message from a guy named Seth from Nintendo of America giving out the Kyurem one. According to the notification, you only get it if you've played "Pokédex", which I'm assuming is Pokédex 3D. I'm not sure how the Genesect stationery was originally sent out because I never got a notification for it.
