Kaim looks cool to me too, definitilly the most interesting looking main character since Squall in a J-RPg to me.
Ming Numara looks awesome, she looks like a queen, a women queen not some teenager, and she looks hot.
Sara looks young, shy, intelligent, not the most interesting character of the bunch to me but i can see her role in the story.
Jansen Friedh looks great, looks like a smartass, has style, the kind of character that ends up being a fan favorite.
Cooke & Mack look like the stress relieve.
Tolten looks like a spoiled Prince.
Gongora looks like a prick.

Excellent thread! This one recently made a blip on my radar and I am very interested to see how it does.
I like how the character designs are more "Western-ized" than the typical JRPG. Like somebody mentioned earlier, they're somewhat derivative of FFXII's models.
Also note how it's one of the few Unreal Engine 3 games I've seen that doesn't look like an Unreal Engine 3 game(no shiny grittiness).

Yeah. This game has fantastic character design. Everyone has cool clothes, the women are gorgeous, everyone's look is very distinct -- and their personalities are easily conveyed by how they look and how they stand. Watching the TGS trailer for this game was like a breath of fresh air after watching the same exact guy parade through the IU, TLR, and WKS trailers. :lol
Gameplay-wise, the kind of totally random thing I'm super excited about is (totally ludicrously minor gameplay spoiler)
being able to use five characters in battle!

How the heck can you have a "clone" of a "character" whose only unifying characteristics over 12 games are being male and having something to do with airships? The range even from 7's punkass dragoon to 8's fat academic grandpa is pretty huge.
