What is your favourite vocal track in a video game?

I was just listening to Snake Eater and thinking about how much the vocals bring me back to the game. Then I thought about how Simple and Clean, and Sanctuary can almost make me tear up with memories. Other game songs can do that of course, but it feels like vocals make it easier for a song to bring me back. Other examples off the top of my head: Real Emotion from FFX-2, Eyes on Me from FFVIII, Small Two of Pieces from Xenogears, Wolven Storm from The Witcher 3, and the upcoming Jump Up, Super Star from Super Mario Odyssey. What are your favourite vocal songs GAF?

Sorry for the lack of links, posting from my phone. I will edit them in later.

Heavens Divide from MGS Peace Walker

Somnus from Final Fantasy XV

Those two stick out for me, but I generally enjoy soundtracks with vocals in video games ever now and then. Sins of the Father playing during that trailer alone was enough to hype me up for MGSV. The Final Fantasy XIII trilogy has a lot of good vocal stuff too. I liked that song from Fire Emblem Fates as well

Run through the cold of the night
As passion burns in your heart
Ready to fight, a knife held close by your side
Like a proud wolf alone in the dark
With eyes that watch the world
And my name like a shadow
On the face of the moon

(*)
Broken mirror, a million shades of light
The old echo fades away
But just you and I
Can find the answer
And then, we can run to the end of the world
We can run to the end of the world

Cold fire clenched to my heart
In the blue of knight
Torn by this pain, I paint your name in sound
And the girl of the dawn with eyes of blue, and angel wings
The songs of the season are her only crown

* repeat

We met in the mist of morning
And parted deep in the night
Broken sword and shield, and tears that never fall
But run through the heart
Washed away by the darkest water
The world is peaceful and still

* repeat

Anything from Elite Beat Agents is probably cheating, so I'm gonna say Live and Learn or Bayonetta's Fly Me to the Moon climax

It's gotta be Sna-

I was just listening to Snake Eater and thinking about how much the vocals bring me back to the game.

Oh. Well, um... In a Moment's Time is a legit go-to for me. I have many memories of staying up until, like, 4 AM finishing a paper in undergrad w/ this song playing. Plus, it's just so evocative of Skullgirls, thematically. It seems pleasant at first, but listening to the lyrics makes it clear it's sung from the perspective of the Skullheart, & we later learned its supposedly sung by Eliza.

Regardless of any dark undertones, it's super relaxing to me.

EDIT: I also have to give credit to the Japanese version of the song, too.

Verse 1
*Ahem*
Mi mi mi mi miiiiiiiii
I am the Great Mighty Poo
and I'm going to throw my shit at you!
A huge supply of tish
come from my chocolate starfish.
How about some scat you little twat?

Verse 2
Do you really think you'll survive in here?
You don't seem to know which creek you're in
sweet corn is the only thing
that makes it through my rear.
How do you think I keep this lovely grin?
*ting*
(Spoken, text not shown) Have some more caviar.

Verse 3
Now I'm really getting rather mad.
You're like a niggly, tickly shitty little tag nut.
When I've knocked you out with all my bab
I'm going to take your head and ram it up my butt!

Conker: Your butt.
GMP: My butt.
Conker: Your butt.
GMP: That's right, my butt!
Conker: (shudders)
GMP: My butt!
Conker: (yelps in horror)
GMP: MY BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTT!

Verse 4
(each line is carried one pitch higher)
Ahhhhh
Ahhhhhh
Ahhhhhhh!
Ahhhhhhhh!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

No More Heroes 2

The Ending Song: No More No

It's almost all on Japanese save the words in the title yet it really affects me with wistful it is.

Bonus is that the
rank up 8-bit melody after each boss fight
is the same as it. Very neat.

FFXIV Heavensward Final Steps of Faith spoilers: Dragonsong. Just perfectly executed. Really any of game's the Primals themes, I guess. I don't care too much for Shiva's JPop phase, though.

Also got a soft spot for No More Heroes 2's Philistine.

Sonic Boom, obviously.

Also "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" in Bioshock Infinite.

Morrigan Stark

Arrogant Smirk
Panzer Dragoon Saga - Sona Mi Areru Ec Sancitu

It's just so glorious.

Special mention: Metal Gear Solid - The Best is Yet to Come. For those who enjoy this, check out the singer-songwriter Loreena McKennitt, the MGS song is incredibly similar to her style (so much that at the time I briefly thought they had hired her).
