He's the master as far as I'm concerned. All his movies had those types of "getting ready close-up" scenes (although not as badass as Hot Fuzz).

The best, hands down. Especially how long the camera lingers on his ass before the scene transition. I remember seeing that as a kid, and being like 'wut?' But my mom and sister loved that.
