The very first step in the Speaker quest ask you to complete 5 missions in the Weekly Story playlist. Instead of guaranteeing a variety of missions by picking 5 from Earth and Moon locations they pick them at random so there is a very good chance you'll be repeating a mission or worse (I got the Array mission 3 times and the Sword of Crota mission twice). We're all used to repeating content and OK with it to a certain degree but how something like that is included is beyond me when you could simply dedicate 5 different missions to the initial quest step thus removing the unnecessary grind of it.

Me too. Knowing that TDB and HoW we're on the way got me hyped. In Y2, I was just like, well I guess we're not getting anything? And I felt less invested in Destiny as a whole.

I think if Destiny wants to be the game it set out to be before launch (lived in world, something you can play every week, etc) then it HAS to have substantial quality content throughout the year.

I expect the live team to have much better updates in D2. Right now they're held back by using the old tools while everyone else is on the better ones.

Either the drop rate is based on what you dont have or i just gor really lucky.

2 full runs with both callenges:
- 2 helmets.
- 2 class items.
- 1 gauntlet.
- 4 legendaries (oversoul edict, abyss defiant, hunger of crota, light of the abyss)
- 4 exotic primaries (edict, abyss, word and fang)

No duplicates at all.

Must have been lucky. I did get duplicates, not a lot, but I got 2 of the adept raid auto rifles and one person in our group last night got two of the adept hand cannons for each of the challenges.

So I've been out of the picture a bit here. Tried the update last night.

Did the speaker quest Heroic Story.

I had my pvp setup from last time I played and was running a Thorn with Ironwreath. Using Thorn body to dreg at close range was not a one shot. Switched to Ironwreath and was able to one shot body dreg. Tried with the yellow wizard Wreath dropped sheild in 2 shots. Got to Sardok one shot with thorn did practically nothing, proceeded to finish Sardok in less than 2 clips with the wreath. Wut?

Didn't experiment with anything else as I got weasled. Anyone else found that sidearms are doing more damage than primaries in PVE?

Yeah that was me, got two Word of Crota Adept, and two of the legendary Pulse rifle, 1 auto rifle, and the terrible Warlock bond as my only armor piece, plus 1 exotic engram.

I want to log on and play but had my eyes dilated at the eye doctor around an hour ago and am waiting on vision to return to normal....It's killing me

Completed Deathsinger last night. I don't know if I have the stomach to do Crota. It was already delving into a sh*t fest when we failed 2 times. It was a reminder of why I sometimes hate this game. People turning on each other, it got ugly quick.

Just doesn't seem worth it.

Just a shot in the dark since you said PvP setup. No idea why it wouldn't be performing as normal then unless the Story playlist has a modifier.

Edit: Yup. That's it's. The Daily Story has modifiers. Heroic, Juggler, Specialist.

Where did you get your raid team? oO
We just did a raid and failed a couple times at the crota challenge with people from gaf but nobody turned on each other.

That sucks, remember when me, kadey and one other smashed our heads on skolas for like 4 hours. Seriously depends on the group to how wiping turns out.

I've done pretty well with everything tbh. HC's are good. Scouts are good. AR's seem ok. Sidearms are really strong actually. Snipers are still strong but not as dominant with Special disappearing. I see less shotguns but they're still deadly in the right hands.

PSA: Weapons of Light now does boost the damage output of the Sword during Crota fight. It helped quiet a lot during my runs "and screwd some runs too due to enraging at the last shiver of his health bar lol".

You got lucky. A member of my fireteam got 3 Adept Fangs in 3 chances.

I barely got any armor or non adept weapons. Used up all my luck in getting a husk to drop on my first ogre kill.

So someone figured out that they nerfed handcannon range by 4.5m instead of the 3m that was mentioned on stream.

I guess Josh Hamrick was speaking in terms of HIPFIRE, BECAUSE WHY WOULDN'T YOU? 99% of the time you shoot while aiming down sight, so let's talk to everyone in terms of hipfire. I guess because handcannons have a 1.5x zoom, you multiply the 3m nerf by that to get the 4.5m range nerf for ADS.

God I feel dumb for even typing that.

Did autorifles get a 7% boost to hipfire range?

I got them from LFG. We got to the end in 35 min, it was glorious. beat Death singers on 2nd try, then it turned into a bloodbath.

I got Oryxx flashbacks.

Tying in Scope values to Hip values like that seems like an awful idea specifically due to the fact that it makes changes a nightmare when you combine that there's a distance related damage drop off.

Is it confrimed that the Destiny 2 DLC is going to have a year PS4 exclusivity.


Seems such an odd thing to do, with it being such a point of contention for the first game, and it hurt PS4 users as well with that content not being cycled in.

Don't get to really play the PS4 doing the week to help reinforce that we don't let the kids play except on the weekends.

That being said my son and I did just boot up and download and install the update so I know we are good to go this weekend.

Dattos group tested it and decided it didn't do any extra damage. They seemed to decide quite quickly though so I wasn't 100 percent sure.

I haven't been around in ages, but very nice to see DGAF going strong and a lot familiar names :)

I thought I was out of the game, but that teaser... hnnng... Hopefully good things are ahead and that PC version.

I didn't bother to take the quests outside of a few. If I did yeah they would have been done at this point. Now I don't want to use other classes besides what I'm using now. Definitely don't want to play defender.
