someone post a screenshot of the mayimbe tweet

can we have the definition of confirmation bias in the OT for any DCEU movie? I feel like it is always so prevalent in DC talks, with the haters and the fans both.

Don't bother. People will make a case of mayimbe not being trustworthy anyway.

/Film is kinda crappy. They'll just regurgitate any news story to pay the bills.

Their podcast is alright tho. Well, when they're not bitching about dark movies.

If Wonder Woman gets an 80+ rating on RT we can expect the reviews thread to die almost immediately. People just love to hate on the DCEU..

No one should believe especially considering the source. I mean if this was Forbes, Hollywood Reporter, Deadline, or something like those than I would be worried. But this source?!

And it says reshoots are still being done with more being done soon when every main actor is off doing their own thing. So what are they reshooting?!

That reshoot rumor is laughable.

That podcast is horrible. They seem like good dudes, but my god, they are so whiny.

Film Junk all the way

You guys do realize they could be reworking the movie without the actors present right? The Dark Tower movie has been working for the last like 6 months on redoing the special effects. They were just smart enough to not release a trailer before they were done/close to finishing up. Atleast if true it sounds like the reshoots were requested by Affleck and not WB higher ups and can potentially help the movie greatly.

Yeah but that doesn't mean everyone should believe rumors.

That was special effects, this is talking about overhauling the whole movie.TWICE.

I stopped reading their sight regularly once they embraced more click-bait titles and articles a few years back. Though I think they've since toned it down since their regular readers hated it.

Variety now saying Matthew Vaughn is in the mix also. Report

Warner Bros. is getting closer to naming a director for its adaptation of “The Flash.”

While an offer hasn’t been delivered yet, sources tell Variety that Matthew Vaughn and Robert Zemeckis are the studio’s top choices to direct the superhero tentpole.

While insiders stress that others are still in the mix, sources close to the situation say Zemeckis and Vaughn have always been the leading candidates, though each has his own hurdle to overcome to land the job.

Is this a situation where Warner Bros doesn't know who to actually back and are just throwing it out there to see how the internet reacts to each candidate? lol

Save Vaugn for Superman...

But all good choices, not to much though with Raimi... too much cheese to wade through from the OG Spider-Man trilogy. Could be a product of the times though.

PUT RAIMI ON SUPERMAN

Spider-Man 1 and 2 were paying homage ripping off Superman anyways, they said so in the Spider-Man 1 commentary :p

It all depends on how long Warner Bros wants to wait on a Flash movie. Zemeckis isn't going to be able to do shit until the end of next year. I don't think Warner Bros wants to wait until potentially 2020 for a Flash film. Just get Raimi on Flash and Vaughn on Superman and tell Zemeckis he gets first dibs on whatever is swirling around towards the end of next year.

Posted this is the other thread but it's probably more at home here...,

"It's interesting that we keep hearing the same variation of names for these future DCU gigs. Between Vaughn, Zemeckis and Raimi I wouldn't be surprised if they all ended up directing DC projects at some point.

I have a feeling that it'll be Zemeckis for The Flash and either Vaughn or Raimi for the next Man Of Steel film. We won't see The Flash until 2019 (or more likely 2020) at the very earliest so there's plenty of time for this all to come to fruition.

Vaughn has been rumoured to be getting into bed with Warners under the new regime for months so I wouldn't be surprised if the studio gives him the pick of whatever he wants to do in the DCU or otherwise."

I don't want someone to do a Reeves Superman homage though....
It doesn't have to be a Reeves homage but he could inject some Silver Age fun into the 90s-style action. Classic hero archetype action with modern angst sort of.

You aren't going to get the most out of Bizarro, Mxyzptlk, or even more serious villains like Brainiac if you don't have a little self-awareness. Even Clark's relationship with Lois can use some flavor. This Superman can be as serious as the director/execs want but the source material can put him in all sorts of situations that flip his/the audience's perspective. Like if he found Supergirl or Kandor. Or Krypto?

I think sticking to the epic/mythical/serious take on its characters would help differentiate DC from Marvel. I'm all for that. But we can have fun without distracting from the story like the competition does sometimes. :p

Excellent news, I want the three of them. At the same time.

Seriously tho, I would love for Raimi to tackle Superman, I seriously doubt he'd pull a Singer. Just let the man work with the villains he wants and it should be okay.

Vaughn is my first choice. Though people like to give Raimi crap, and deservedly so, for Spider-Man 3, the original Spider-Man is easily my favorite and the best comic book movie of all time. If Raimi only does one movie, it would be okay as he wouldn't be tempted to recycle his plot in future instalments.

I'd rather have Vaughn on a Superman movie. He would give it the edge Snyder's film have given the character. I feel Raimi would be stuck in the past.

However, if we could get a new person in there, that would be cool.

I despise the idea of a director making a bad movie on purpose to fuck with producers. But Spidey 1 and 2 were GOLDEN.

Those 2 and the first Thor/Captain America are movies where I've seen people crap on but those were absolutely the best movies you were going to get for that material at the time they were made.

Funny how the day turned around for DC after both of those threads were pretty much debunked and now 3 great directors are up for 2 of the movies.

EDIT - And just because I can and it's fun... Reddit rumor time

https://www.reddit.com/r/DCEUleaks/comments/69rjpc/spoilers_for_ww_jl/

So last night I was talking to our source. We were talking about other things, a good chat so he was willing to answer some more questions. I just asked for a description of his favorite scene. He was very hesitant to not tell me about it because it's a scene not best knowing. I didn't care, I'm a spoilers kind of guy. If this is true then the scene will be AWESOME!!! He did however feel it was out of place and an excuse for cameos. Anyways:
The scene is in the first act, early on. In Arkham Asylum Joker & Harley(YES!!!) are being escorted to their cells by Commissioner Gordon. Gordon refers to them as ''The clown and his *****''. They stop outside the control room(Opens & closes cell doors). The guard in control is listening to Hound Dog, Joker says ''I love this song. I love the king. I'm a king too ya know'', a guard tells him to shut up before insulting him to which J replies ''Thank you, thank you very much''. We cut to Luthor in his cell wearing a straight jacket and has short hair. We also see Slade Wilson in another cell(No eye patch, instead wearing a piece of the prison clothing). After a moment a lot of fuzz is heard on the intercom, Joker then talks over it before opening the cells as hound dog plays. There's a big prison fight, Slade just tears through them all(He said it was very similar to The Raid). The scene lasted at least 3mins, there was some killing but no blood. Hound Dog plays throughout the full scene. He said one of the thugs has question marks drawn onto his uniform(He's not a comic geek but he's familiar with some of the Batman villains so he thinks it might be a nod) but he doesn't think it was the Riddler himself because the dude was bald. Luthor's cell is still closed but sees all the fuzz through the little hole in the door. He sees Slade(Well aware of who he is), asks him to set him free, saying ''I can make you a very rich man, you will have so much power people will fear you'' but Slade replies with ''People already fear me''. We cut to Gordon waking up on the floor, his head bleeding, Joker is gone but they still have Harley. Slade finds his gear in the evidence room. Meanwhile in the riot several prisoners attempt to torture a guard. Gordon & his men enter the hall, telling everyone to go back into their cells. They laugh, call Gordon a pig and start to walk closer to him. Batman walks out from a dark cell behind Gordon. The criminals run back into their cells, it was both funny & awesome. Harley says ''Hi Bats, miss me?''. Joker and Slade escape. Batman arrived at the asylum to talk to Luthor about the incoming threat he was warned about.

Me because those movies much like the X-Men movies don't have Spider-Man. They have some elements of the Spider-Man character, but none of his core characteristics that stay around regardless of who is writing it or any of that. Good to alright movies, awful Spider-Man movies.
