Got the new mat, and a Tapu Lele. Also added in the deck I'm using until I make a real one when rotation happens. If there's a card not in the deck that would be good, chances are I never pulled it or it's rotating out so I sold it. You guys can probably narrow it down from counting the rest, but those are 11 lightning energies.

The mat looks awesome. Good choice.

As for the deck you should look into Tapu Koko GX. Will be same from rotation for 2 years, and it's going to get a lot better next expansion with Acerola and super scoop up.

It was the plan to get into tapu koko gx next. Might get another Lele next though before rotation. I see it not getting cheaper than it is right now. More people pulling it, more needed after rotation, will stop getting printed down the line.

Yep, I bit the bullet and bought 2 more after I saw it go in price after bottoming out at $30. Eventually want to get a 4th just to have a full play set. Used a $15 off eBay flash code so at least I got a bit of a discount.

It's just so so good to have multiples of, I think I might drop shaymin from most of my decks completely.

I'd get a battle arena deck set. You get 2 decks with better cards than the theme decks. The new one is coming out in a week

those look cool. I'm just getting some long term supplies myself because it's time for new sleeves and the such. I've been using the Elesa ones for a long time and want the Suiren ones coming out soon.

With the mat, I'm also getting a tube, but I don't like the monster ones and was instead able to get one of those telescoping tubes used for art canvases for cheap which is especially nice since it has a strap too.

Also as something not that important, but I just happen to like...I'm getting these acrylic damage counters too. I still need tourney legal dice since mine aren't, but I'll get there.

the tube and counters are in shipping, waiting on Suiren for now.

I know I'm getting 2 boosters of "To Have Seen the Battle Rainbow", would get more, but because I'm not currently in Japan I am paying a bit more per booster box. Thinking about going for the complete set this time.

I don't think there's a PTCGO thread, at least not an active one. It's the same game as the physical version, same cards, same rules, so we do discuss it here.

Skyla looks fine imo, I dunno, I'm not even sure it's the size. Just doesn't suit the character, looks like some librarian in a anime porn movie.

A friend got me into the game, and I'm enjoying it so far. I want to know what is the best deck I can/should buy, I don't care about legal decks since I am only playing with my friends. Also I would like some beginner's tips if there are any. Thanks!

well even amongst friends there's some ground rules right? Are all sets of pokemon tcg available or is it restricted? the reason it's restricted is that some decks are downright banned like: https://sixprizes.com/2015/08/10/the-whirlwind-tour-75-flip-filled-first-turns-with-shiftry-nxd/

For a fun solid deck that's cheap, Volcanion EX and Passimian both kinda fit the bill.

It'd also be nice to know what style of play you like. Do you want to bench snipe, mill cards, lock the opponent, place 100 energies on one pokemon and blow up the field?

I just need a bit more to go on.

The world championship decks are the best premade decks you can buy but you can't use them in real tournaments or on PTCGO. Are you looking for premade decks or building something out of singles. Ever going to play in tournaments?

I like the idea of the world championship decks. There's no rules, we're playing extremely casually. In terms of playstyle, I enjoy amassing tiny advantages and steamrolling them into winning the game. I don't enjoy randomness for the most part.

Has anyone else been having a problem with Guardians Rising cards being damaged right out of the wrapper?

I've had multiple packs where all the common cards had deep creases in them, some appeared to have other cards pressed into them, or they were just nicked and scratched.

And yesterday I got a Vikavolt GX that had a wrinkle in the front, and the back of the card is scratched to heck.

Have I just been unlucky, or is the QC for this set in the can?

this is commonplace for Pokemon cards, the Japanese ones I have never had an issue, but I don't know if that's coincidence.

Either way, just kind of expect it sometimes. I had it worse where an EX I traded away had a bumpy top because the top of the pack was pressed on the card so it had a major indentation from end to end.

I got it at Target. It was a single blister pack (the kind with all cardboard shell) and it didn't appear to be tampered with.

So I'm kinda curious what types of decks everyone here is currently running.

Right now I've got a pretty solid Solgaleo GX and Haxorus deck and a beast of a water deck. I've fallen in love with using a Wishiwashi to power my bench while using Manaphy to keep him away from the active until he's ready to do his GX move. Obviously I can't beat my friends Decidueye deck but against everything else my water deck fares really well.
