Why does Nintendo care? PSP is the one who could use more portable MGS

When it comes to JRPGs though, Famitsu and J-Gaffer impressions often hit close.Kaako said:Disappointed by the WKC scores. Then again, I don't really trust Famitsu scores.
I'll wait for fellow Gaffer impressions and more reviews.

Bebpo said:The trick to their DS games is that they aren't rpgs.
Even Dark Cloud 2, which was pretty solid, wasn't really a standard rpg. It was more of a town builder/dungeon crawler/golf/photography sim or something.
L5 just seems to suck at making standard rpgs. Probably because they can't write a story for the life of them, can't design a dungeon, and can't make a battle system with depth. Together that sort of kills an rpg :\

I found Layton 1 really enjoyable partly because the game never overstayed its welcome. The story was kinda silly, but the characters are enjoyable to be with and it didn't try too hard to be epic or anything like that. In general, if they tone down on trying to do "everything" and instead focus on less but more unique elements, I think they end up with much more success. This could be a direction they're pushing with their portable titles, especially those they're publishing themselves. It'll be interesting to see what we think of L5 2-3 years down the road.

duckroll said:I'm definitely getting that, in fact, I'll probably even get the console version of that if it's good. But like I said before, I see a big difference between Level 5's self-published titles in terms of focus and scope, and their traditional JRPG style titles. The latter are the ones I won't be touching. I'm 27 now, getting old. >_<

At least PS0 got a decent score, and I didn't expect MGS for the iPod.
