A lot of Love Live! songs would work amazingly well in certain games.

A-RISE's 'Private Wars' sounds like a lost track from Streets of Rage.

Koi ni Naritai AQUARIUM is a Sonic track in disguise.

I don't know if licensed soundtracks count, but 'Database' by Man with a Mission feat. Takuma
belongs in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.

Youdubber is a great tool to mix audio and footage for these purposes.

Satriani's stamp is all over Sonic Adventure 2. Maybe he should make a Sonic game sometime.

And I can't see how people missed the ELP and Final Fantasy link. ELP was a huge influence on his sound.

Not familiar with Megaman X's music in particular, but that part always struck me as super oldschool videogame-y.

DT definitely has a ton of videogame sounding stuff in their catalogue. Some other good prog metal bands that do that sound well are Circus Maximus, Pagan's Mind and Haken. Here's a section I really enjoy (at 5:40 mark) from a recent song of Haken's called "1985".

I have always played SplatterHouse 3 with Enjoy the Silence Mix by Shinoda, for some reason i find it really fitting.

The same with the pair Alien Zombie Megadeath and Born To Be Wasted by 009 Sound System

I have always played the demo of Heroes Of Might & Magic 2 with a .mod(a music file, not a game modification) that was really atmospheric even if more sci-fi than fantasy, but it was awesome, too bad i will never find it :'(
