Another Saturn game haul!

Damn dude, that's some good shit right there, freaking Blast Wind? You don't have to say how much, but did you get a decent price on it?

Haven't posted in ages so this is what I gathered the last couple of months:

Arrived today. The Anovos Kylo Ren Premier Helmet. Will probably get the whole suit later this year. Words cannot describe how beautiful this is. Very light, excellent build quality for the most part, screen accurate replica from one of the original movie props. It cost a fortune but it was worth it.

Mask from the Swedish metal band Ghost along with albums from Opeth and Children of Bodom.

Filling the last significant hole in my Tenchu collection (I'm still ont he fence about getting the poorly-reviewed DS game), here's Tenchu Z for Xbox 360:

And finally, the first two issues of my GamesTM trial - which I'm enjoying having, but am unlikely to be able to keep going at full price:

Some more Gamecube pick-ups:

US version of F-Zero GX and Skies of Arcadia Legends, as well as PAL versions of Pikmin, Wario World and Super Monkey Ball

A crummy Gameboy player, sadly without the actual disc and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Limited edition with the Ocarina of Time disc

Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike, Wario Ware, Inc. and a third-party RGB scart cable.

I also picked up this wonderful backlit modded GBA.

zy9ed3x.jpg

It isn't a perfect backlit mod as when held at an angle I can see that the finish on the screen placement is a bit shoddy, but when playing it as one would hold a GBA it looks fantastic.

Oh yeah! I've been meaning to get that Labyrinth 4KBR. I need that Bowie-bulge in ultra-hd!

I mean, I loaned my Blu-Ray out and never got it back so I might as well get the 4KBluRay set with the BRdisc in it too (I don't have a 4K TV yet, just getting ready).

How much was it on Prime Day?

Had some best buy credit saved up, and at $399 I couldn't resist...

I think Farlands is free for owners and it's probably the game I spent the most time in. SuperHot is obviously awesome and Job Simulator is the best "Show me to your friends" thingy. I haven't tried the Rick and Morty thing though, which I think was made by the same people as Job Simulator.

Don't pass gaas, it is your Destiny!

It was a timed deal for $14.99; got it for $16.38 after taxes and junk. It looked pretty good but extremely grainy, like, holy crap, tons upon tons upon tons of grain everywhere at all times but only hinders things in some scenes

Got these from the Amazon glitch - All 3 games for around $20. Can't beat that even if Lego worlds seems to suck. Heard good and bad but I bet my kid will love it.

Opted for overnight because of the glitch possibly getting revoked and bam all 3 came for the price of one overnight. Thanks Prime Day.

Where in NY did you get the JP games?

Going there in september (visiting from EU) and would love to know some good (retro) video games stores.

I bought them at Videogamesnewyork.
They're located at 202 E 6th St.

There's also a store called J&L on 1026 6th Ave but I think they are way too expensive.
Not that Videogamesnewyork is very cheap but at least they are cheaper than J&L.

And finally, the first two issues of my GamesTM trial - which I'm enjoying having, but am unlikely to be able to keep going at full price:

I have not used this service, but it looks like GamesTM is one of the magazines on Readly, which is a digital subscription service for £8 per month, that says you get access to 2k magazines.

https://gb.readly.com/products/magazines/gb/gaming

Again, I've not used it so I don't know if it's any good or not.

Amazon's Kindle unlimited also has magazines, but it says they rotate in and out of availability. Don't know if gTM is part of it.

Still have a couple more things to post, as I had a friend pick up some items from AX but getting these out of the way first.

Shower jelly (1 part shower gel, 1 part jello, all awesome):

Thanks - though not having it in physical form would lose much of the attraction for me.

Got some Switch stuff

Snatched one up on Amazon when they came back in stock. Truthfully, still have a few games I want to beat (Persona 5, Nier Automata, Titanfall 2) before I jump into Zelda.

Cross posting from the DS collecting thread:

Well that sucks. Maybe I can find replacements shells online or something.

Nice.

The cool thing about the DSi XL/LL is that they all come with really nice quality IPS displays. New Nintendo could learn a thing or two from old Nintendo. That said, the Switch display is glorious.

I compared it to my 3DS a while back and found the viewing angles were better on the DSi. Good to know I'm not crazy. Wonder why they went back to TN screens with the 3DS.
