I've never owned a Microsoft console, but for the price of a solid UHD 4k disc player I could just snag the S for around the same price. How's the picture quality and functionality? It feels weird to buy a console just for UHD 4k capability, but here I am. Thanks in advance for opinions and suggestions.

standalone is better, you can sometimes notice a stutter when changing layers.
that doesn't bother me enough to outweigh the benefits.
