They did.

I wouldn't be surprised if he hopped off around them when they start bringing in new creative teams on books, but who knows with him.

I would assume they just counted everything "main book" Slott wrote.

Charles 'dies' all the time! Even in the short amount of issues I've read, I believe he's died twice already. First was a changeling and the second time was one of the robot things SHIELD use.

Actually, maybe just once. I think the robot was Nicky Fury's 'death'.

Just read the beginning of the Tangled Web Omnibus.
Damn, what a great start, and the whole concept of the book as a Series of One Shots looks like perfect to me

I read the Amazing Screw-on Head today, it was a lot of fun. The main story was basically Mignola doing an Atomic Robo style story about a robot crime fighter who works for the president. The rest of the book was a collection of short stories, they were all good. Although I'm positive I've read the Wizard and the Snake story somewhere else before.

What the fuck, Image. Image needs to edit or look at the covers before they are released because this is going to happen again.

From the Eisner nominated WWAC:

Not good enough
Our form letters are still being edited but we specifically didn't create a version that called for the cover being pulled. Bc it's BABYFOOD
It's literally the least they can do. Coast on the publicity gained by the response to hate marketing, benefit from weak people accepting it

OK, so after reading the statement and finally seeing the cover is it wrong that I don't see what the huge fuss is about? This comic is about America's current attitude towards foreigners and their culture. Maybe I'm missing the point there, I don't know.

Surely this isn't the worst/most offensive cover in the history of comics.

I don't know, this one might actually be. I'm not personally offended by it, but I think Chaykin tends to gravitate toward books where he can draw shock-value content because that's what he gets off on.

I feel like I shouldn't really be commenting on this, as I don't know the artist, I don't know the history behind this book, etc. However, my interest was piqued, so I thought I'd have a look. Based purely off what Image's statement said about the book and what I've seen of the cover, and the other covers released for this title, it seems to fit the theme.

I see it as a call back to how America used lynch and hang black people?

OK, I don't know enough about this book, writer/artist to understand what's going on here. I certainly don't know enough about transgender people and the issues they have within society to understand or comment on this any further. These are all touchy subjects for everyone involved. My initial thought was this is an artist making a statement through their art. I have no idea if he has an agenda or not. I see what they were trying to achieve though and don't really understand the backlash after that.

I'm going back to Marvel Unlimited where the only things I have to worry about are the Roy Thomas word count, and if Aunt May's weak condition will finally get the better of her.

Man, New Super-Man Volume 1 was a ton of fun.

Don't have much to say about it past that, mind. This isn't a book with big sweeping messages or mindblowing commentary, despite the definite political tinge to it. That might be down to my own ignorance of Chinese politics, though. There's a strong family component to the first volume that provides most of the emotional center, but past that it's more about a suite of reasonably strong characters bouncing off each other in entertaining ways.

Definitely in for more of that.
