August Underground Mordum. Everyone involved in this can seriously fuck right off. Awful stuff and definitely not recommend.

I just read the plot summary for this. This sounds fucking insane. Never heard of it before but wow...

As for a movie I've actually seen, probably Nekromantic 2, unless you are counting movies that show actual death footage. It's a fucking awful movie though. It's boring save for the shocker ending.

Honestly, I've seen a lot of these movies and I guess 'torture porn' doesn't scare me. I found most of these movies boring compared to some more traditional horror films that rely on less gore to achieve results.

I don't know, that dad was creepy as shit. That conversation with him and his son where he's talking about masturbating or the scene with his son crying that he wasn't sexy enough for his dad to rape him...... NOPE.

I guess I did laugh when the dog ate the cum off the dinner table after his son jacked off on it though

This post combined with your user name and avatar might be the most disturbing thing here.

martyrs is the only thing that has really stayed with me, even though i only ever saw it the once when it was first released.

Yup, seems like Martyrs is that kind of film you only need to watch once. Don't think it's really intended for repeat viewings, may ruin the effect.

dude Ginger Snaps is hilarious

great film, Katharine Isabelle is the shit

I agree. Also Katherine Isabelle was distracting in that movie. Disappointed she never made it big in the US after Freddy v Jason (also upset we never got the oft rumored Freddy v Jason v Evil Dead).

Ill go with Salo as well. I think what makes it worse is it was made decades ago with I assume much laxer rules/regulations. Also I sometimes wonder what the hell the actors/actresses thought they were getting into and what future careers they expected.

And Pink Flamingo's.

Really? Well I guess the end where Divine eats that dog shit was pretty gross.....or when she gives Crackers head after licking all the furniture and he kept repeating "Do my balls Mama!" Or that one guy opening his butt at their party......

Ok, yeah I guess Pink Flamingo fits the bill lol. Been so long since I've seen it

I mean I love John Waters but PF is just saw raw and distrubing for me. It's a carnival geek show. Of course it was his goal to get noticed, but damn. I still think of his early films Female Trouble is King.

This was the worst of the trilogy IMO.

They tried really hard to disturb and offend, just for the sake of it and it also looks really bad as well since half of the time you can't see what's going on.

The first one was a much better thought out attempt to do a realistic looking snuff movie.

The third one (Penance) looks more like an actual movie and it looks great. Has the best gore effects and it's a bit more artsy. I think that one is my favorite.

Anyway, i voted for this series already but i think i will change it. August Underground are just movies but things like Faces of Death is the closest thing you get to actual "Best Gore" and "Orgish" content. Not all scenes are real but most are, which makes it actually disturbing. The commentary and music is also pretty well done.

The two that spring to mind for me as actually sticking with me and really disturbing me for a while afterwards are:

The Day After - Read the Wikipedia synopsis if you're not familiar. It's a nuclear fallout movie. Seeing it when I was 10 or so really shook me. For years I was spooked by the subject, and was compelled to learn more about our as a teenager. It kinda sticks with me still.

Grave of the Fireflies - Saw it as an adult. Maybe realistic depictions of war victims just really get to me.

I'll take your word for it. That's the only August Underground film I saw and it's the only one I'll ever see. Never again.

August Underground series is awful, and I could never take it seriously.

But one thing that really fucks me up is real death, especially with animals. In that case, Cannibal Holocaust is a film that I will never watch again.

Cheeks Spread for Digital Only Future
Compliance - it's basically a real life horror film. A woman getting sexually assaulted over several hours by her co-workers at the request of a shadowy voice on the end of a phone.

Tetsuo was mentioned earlier in the thread, and something about the stop motion special effects in the movie I found really creepy and unsettling.

that Michael Haneke trilogy that is made up of Seventh Continent, Benny's Video and 71 Fragments

me and my ex wanted to kill ourselves afterwards. it was way too much to absorb
All 3 are excellent and The Seventh Continent is one my favourite films.

The Wizard of Oz is the most disturbing film I've ever seen. Left me with a mental scar.

Is that a real question or a "lol, this movie is nothing compared to what i've watched'" ?

No it was a real question. It's been awhile since I've seen it but I just seem to remember it being kind of a meandering mess. I legitimately don't recall anything remotely disturbing about it, at least certainly nothing like Irreversible.

Just curious if I was missing or forgetting something here.

Audition (By the same director) also works, but at least that one is a good film. This is just trashy sadism. There are more rape attempts than I care to count, the worst sadism, fucked up portrayal of mental illness... It's drenched in ignorance and child-like mentality and I didn't enjoy it at all.

I try to stay away from 'disturbing' movies. That's why I haven't watched things like audition or antichrist.

I have, however, seen Martyrs. That was pretty unpleasant!

Early Wes Craven was incredibly disturbing..

Came here to say this. The ending left me shaking for a good half hour afterwards.

So fiting that your quote is under a poster mentioning Ichi the Killer, i was about to rant about how much more disturbing is Gozu compared to that one. Haven't watched every movie from Takeshi Mike, but he seems to try enjoy going in weird directions all the time with his movies.
