Based on some of these theories thrown around George Soros is the result of a fusion dance between David Xanatos and Lex Luther.
I think it's as simple as using language that doesn't outright accuse but rather suggests there are reports of something, or that something is a possibility. In the US at least you have a lot of leeway as long as you don't outright make claims of fact.
The Hogan case was totally different; it wasn't a defamation case.
