There is a Games on Demand sale starting tomorrow - Major Nelson announced it last week. Some games will have "Up to 30% off."

There is no official list of games yet, I am just hoping for ToV - as it is too expensive to buy the disc (even used), and I would love a small price drop on the download version
any update on this? majornelson.com isn't updated (not surprising since it's too early in Seattle now).

If anyone knows of these GoD deals, let us know.

So, currently:

Fable III
2400 => 1600

Alan Wake
2400 => 1600

Crackdown 2
2400 => 1600

Halo Wars
2400 => 1600

Halo: Reach
3200 => 2133

Gears of War
1600 => 1200

Mass Effect
1600 => 1200

Definitely, exclusive / first party / MS published stuff. :/

I need some help this week for the XBLA Analysis stuff.

1. I need Leaderboard data for Shoot Many Robots and Rayman 3 HD. I can do it, but it requires me to press down on a D-Pad 10,000 times, so I'm not gonna. If someone with the game could play the game for a level on a second account on their Xbox 360, and tell me their position on the Leaderboards, I would be very grateful :)

2. For those who have Sine Mora, are the Leaderboards for story based on your total playthrough, or just in general to whatever point you're currently at? If it is to where your at, I need the data similar to the games in #1 :)
I could take a look at the leaderboards for shoot many robots if its still needed.

I was about to buy daytona the other day, good thing I was delayed.

With Trials Evolution and probably Fez out of the way...what do guys think the Summer of Arcade line up is going to be?

Joe Danger: The Movie and Deadlight seem to be a safe bet at this point.

when does the store update for the UK? Wondering whether to get Wrecked on PS3/360 (just recently rebought a 360), and if XBLA updates earlier that might be the decider for me.

Joe Danger already in a deal of the week? wow...wondering how well it did "sales" wise with the 1200 price.

Anyway tomorrow I'm getting a 4200 points card and I'm getting Sine Mora, Daytona & Joe Danger for sure. :)

Games on Demand once again shows that its only use was reducing the resell value of Vesperia and being a cheap platform for the Crysis 1 port.

GoD sales are terrible compared to PlayStation Store sales.

Is this true? Where do you get your info?

And nice to see even a small discount on Mass Effect. I am replaying it right now and was hoping for a sale on the GoD version - discs are just so 1995.

Does PSN even have an online presence? I'm pretty sure Call of Duty titles for 25-40% off a couple weeks or months ago. And PSN+ has full game 'rentals' ever few months. We downloaded Shift 2, Far Cry 2 and probably 50 others free.

It's more her system, but I do think they generally have better sales (on a smaller selection).

I own both consoles and I buy in dlc on both.

Right now I can buy the Team Ico Collection for 20 € on PSN, The Sly HD Trilogy for 13 €, Deus Ex 3 for 24 € (40 € on XBL), Tomb Raider Underworld for 11 €, Split/Second for 13 €, Just Cause 2 for 14 € and so on.

And that's without any PS+ discount.

Even without a sale some games are cheapter than on XBL. Trine 2 is 7,99 € on PSN, on XBL it's 1200 points, which equals 15,00 € where I live.

I noticed these differences several times now.

It's the other way around in the UK. It usually works out like this: -

400 MSP (£3.40) = £3.99 on PSN
800 MSP (£6.80) = £7.99 on PSN (the most common price point for games on Live)
1,200 MSP (£10.20) = £9.99 or £11.99 on PSN

Trine 2 is an exception though, because the game was delayed for nearly 3 months on PSN Europe. When games appear much later on PSN like that, they are often cheaper than they were on Live, but that's not true when games appear during the same week.

Yup, I've noticed this too. Looks like it's true for Wrecked Revenge Revisited this week for instance (1,200 MSP / £11.99).

Yeah, this is why I can't understand the Microsoft Points hate! If they were scrapped, that game would almost certainly be £11.99 on Live as well. People moan about spending £30 a year on a Gold sub, but if I bought all of the downloadable games and DLC I buy on Live on PSN instead, the difference would be considerably more than £30.

Picked up Joe Danger in the sale. As a high-score-chasing leaderboard game, it's utterly horrible, and I hate the thing.

As a 2D platformer, it's really good. Ignoring the scoring mechanic entirely and just going for objectives, it's a lot of fun, especially trying to get the medals where you have to do all the objectives in a single run. Even getting the first one of those was tough, I imagine it's going to be hell at the end but good hell! Seems to be enough content here to justify the purchase solely as a platformer, too, so it doesn't bother me that the scoring aspect is so shit. Glad I didn't pay 1,200 for it, but it's absolutely worth half that.

I'd always been planning to get it on PSN, but the sale means it'll go on my Xbox. No big deal, just a matter of convenience... (son may play it, and I prefer him on the PS3)

Oh man, who would buy something for 1973 or 2133 Microsoft Points? That'd kill me. You'd never be able to round it off again.

yeah, that would be horrible. its annoying enough to have 20 or 40 pts laying around. and odd number of points would suck ass.

Crysis and Deathsmiles 2. the only good thing about GoD.

I have odd points from buying things from the Zune Marketplace. Also, the best thing about GoD is Rock Band 3 for $20.

actually, yeah. RB3 without a disc sounds awesome. ive been meaning to buy that myself. i wonder how much Beatles RB is on GoD come to think of it...

im a bit more impressed with games that never got a disc release selling at a reasonable price on GoD though. that and the fact that ive played like 2000 hrs of RB and im slightly burnt out at this point.

It's a few good deals on there. It's mostly the timing of the releases. There are a few niche releases on there for $20 I'd get if I didn't have a backlog.
