Sigh! What a year it's been. I was at a company for 9 years until I got let go in April. I was without a Job until Sept. I've received no negative feedback but out of the blue I'm called to see the HR manager and they stop my employment as "not right fit".I have to apply for EI now.

So dejected. Is this something I include on my resume for having worked 2 1/2 months?

Otherwise there's a 7 month gap on my resume from my previous job.

Thanks for any advice.

Fired? Don't include, say backpacking Europe.

Not fired, say temp contract and you didn't want to stay even though they offered.

It's dismissal without cause. Since I'm on probation they don't have to really give a reason. They just won't continue with my employment past the probationary time.

Just say it was a temporary position that ended. State you've been looking while employed.

Hope they don't call them lol.

I definitely wouldn't put that.. nor would I want to hire anyone who was fired after less than three months.

To fill the gap, you might claim you were caring for a sick member of your immediate family.
