I watched the Netflix Original, The Most Hated Woman in America.

I was iffy on it. The tone seemed uneven. And the main reason I was interesting in watching it (her fight against religion in the public school system) was barely a few scenes. The movie focuses more on her kidnapping. Overall, it wasn't good, but it wasn't bad.

Might be a bit of an older addition, but I potted the show Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories a while back, and just remembered it after seeing Samurai Gourmet (which also seems like a lot of fun), so I went back to check it out.

The idea of these very little but significant human stories that happen in the smallest hours of the night in a tiny diner just really hits me in a warm and fuzzy way.

Definitely a bit of an mostly-undiscovered gem of netflix I'd say.

I never imagined adam sandler would be making movies still. I used to love him. Then, perhaps like most, he kinda fell off the radar.

I liked both the netflix movies so glad to see them giving him 4 more.

"I can only listen in bits and pieces, or I freak out, feel a panic attack coming along." ... "I'm afraid to [listen to the tape about me]"

13 Reasons Why is getting very good reviews, will have to check that out.

Also, the latest in Doctor Who licence fuckery on UK Netflix:
- "Series 9" was added last week. Upon inspection, what this meant was they took the Christmas special from the end of season 8 and made it its own season 9. I hope this means they're planning on adding the rest of season 9 at some point.
- Series 7B and the four Tennant specials from the end of season four have disappeared.
- Day of the Doctor and Time of the Doctor have now appeared... at the end of season 8. So in the wrong place (they are meant to be in between 7B and 8)

Blue Jay was pretty good. One of those ex-couples reuniting and hanging out for a night films that tugs at those heart/nostalgia strings.

Kind of impressive if most of that was improvised and shot in 7 days. Although I don't think mark duplass is great at "sad" acting. Probably because I always have his character from The League in the back of my mind.

Oddly enough, when I read or hear the name Mark Duplass, I see a perma-sad version of his face. Ironically also due to his character from The League.

I think we both took different hot take's from his character's arc.
